Bio
Myla Hardie was born in Hollywood, California and raised in Austin, Texas. Daughter of bluesman, Michael Hardie, she played piano before she could walk and talk as family tradition. She moved to New York City at the age of 17 where she recorded debut album, "In The Heart Of".
After 2 successful tours in Brazil in 2007 & 2008 debuting live with Michael Hardie and returning from a 7-week European tour in Sept. 2009 to release Michael’s new Grammy-acclaimed album, "Waiting for Perfection", the band has played with some of music’s greats like Chuck Rainey, Milton Hopkins, Jon Paris and Brian Mitchell.
Myla's band is now 100% Brazilian-American with Gustavo Chaise on guitar, Edu Meirelles on bass. Establishing a base in Porto Alegre, Brazil for now. Myla aired on Brazilian National TV series, "Borghetti na Estrada" featuring Renato Borghetti and Myla's Band in Texas.
