Michelle aka Mys Michelle is a talented singer/songwriter that was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. As a little girl, she developed the desire to sing and often sang with her family who is also musically inclined.
At the age of 16, Michelle found herself stepping to the forefront developing her own style of music. She realized she had a God-given gift of touching the lives of others through song. During this time she participated in several talent showcases to establish herself as a lead vocalist. However in 2000, her career took off and allowed her the opportunity to perform as a background vocalist for many great gospel artists such as Karen Clark-Sheard, Tonex, Smokie Norful, BeBe Winans, Deandre Patterson, Percy Bady, Ray Bady, Trinitee 5:7 and many more.
In 2005, Michelle decided to take the stage again as a solo artist now named Mys Michelle. The Mys stands for Ministry for Your Soul. Michelles delivery on stage ranges from high energy pop and dance to soothing melodies and inspirational ballads, including neo-soul. She is currently putting the finishing touches on her debut album to be release in June 2006 entitled Whateva.
