Myster DL aka Kyng David was born in Dayton, Ohio on the eve of Halloween in 1980. He spent his first two years in Michigan but was raised in New York. Upon arriving in Mass. in the 90's Myster DL became known in the underground scene of Lowell and Boston. Being a producer/MC/dj and engineer made it easy for Myster DL 2 weave in and out of certain sessions, he worked as an engineer at Boston Skyline Studios and because he could adapt to whatever style and was quite versatile collaborations began piling up. His debut LP features Bostons biggest names such as Krumbsnatcha, Edo G and Kreators.
Myster DL may possibly be one of the hardest working and most focused artist in the New England area, in 2004 alone he had 60 solo songs mixed, and not just in basement studios each song was mixed proffessinally on SSL consoles by mixing legend Pete Boardz (Ghostface, Guru, Styles P, The Donna's, ect.). Myster DL earned seperate degrees in audio production and communications from a few schools including the New England Institute of Art in 2004 and he has remained busy in the studio since completing his higher education. His debut cd "The Calm Before The Storm" will be an independent release completly financed by Myster DL as he has no agent and no manager. He also produced and recorded every song on the album.
The cd is a mix of many styles, from crunk to gangsta and from soulful to downright rude. This cd features something for everyone. With a smooth delivery and lyrics abundant with meaning and metaphors Myster DL does more than just rhyme words, his vivid imagination allows us 2 visualize everything he says, basiclly the man paints a beautiful picture for his listeners.
Boston/NY and Philly Radio station have been playing singles "Redrum", "Let it Fall" "Goose & Juice" and "How we Roll" from Myster DL's cd recieving a good response in the street. Myster DL's follow up "The Storm" will feature most of the hip hop world ........Keep your eyes to the sky, you better close your windows and lock your doors....the storms coming!!!!! ........................
