Toronto, ON – This one obviously doesn’t qualify as “hip-hop” but we had to show our friends Mystic & Miranda some love on their new release.
The sisters took a brief hiatus from the music scene but are back in full force and promoting their single, “Pain Killer.” You can check that out below along with the newly released “R&Trap Remix” by Japan’s own .
If the names Mystic & Miranda aren’t ringing a bell, you might be more familiar with the name they went by when they won a Juno Award in 2000. Latoya & Miranda won a Juno in the Best R&B/Soul Recording category for their work on producer-MC 2Rude’s “Thinkin’ About You.”

Mystic & Miranda are a charismatic duo with a unique approach to their blend of pop, soul, reggae and hip-hop. Their music bridges the gap between old school flavour and current pop melodies, joining the best of both worlds with their vision and inspirational songs.
Their recordings and lyrics strike all the right chords, largely inspired by influential performers they grew up listening to such as Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey, just to name a few.
Although the duo are widely known on the Canadian music scene for their 2000 Juno Award winning single and CHR hit "Thinkin' About You," they continue to set the bar higher with their new material. Their current release “Painkiller” is a bubbly and soulful track reminiscent of classic 90’s RnB. Their brand new single “Speed of Love (Dub J Mix)” is an upbeat urban party jam with EDM overtones that dares you not to dance.
