MystiK began in the early 90's when Trisha Dionisi and Mike Leavitt started playing Detroit's coffee house scene as the duo Cosmogony. In the late 2002 they once again joined together to start a "simple" recording project which quickly turned into MystiK. The result of this is the EP" This Is Only A Test", which was recorded at Pearl Sound Studios in Canton , Michigan.
We are a female fronted band. Blending both acoustic and electric sounds into a powerful, yet melodic form of music. Compared to groups such as heart , Concrete Blonde and Kansas by critics, MystiK has developed a sound based upon classic/blues rock with an ear towards the unimagined.
MystiK has played throughout Michigan and parts of Ohio. In some of the best concert arenas in both. Recognized as a regional band, we continue to develop a strong and loyal following among people who want a break from the whirlpool of commercial offerings.
