Bio

Mythology first breathed life in 1999, brainchild of vocalist Toby (Silver Ocean Storm | The Second That). Releasing independant solo album 'The Opening' into the aether, Toby followed the project's natural progression to live act - moving from his hometown of Coffs Harbour to Brisbane - where he recruited the live project, which included foundation member TwitcH (Traces | Malaclypse). The Myth Machine stormed onto the now defunct Brisbane Tavern stage on the opening night of legendary darkwave club S.T.A.T.I.K in 2001. The energetic spectacle that was their first show is still spoken of with hushed awe to this day.

Mythology's first incarnation - all punishing vocals, stomp inducing drumlines and dirty, grinding guitar - drew a legion of followers (affectionately known as 'MythKids') to their live shows, propelled them to prominence in the Australian darkwave/industrial scene and saw video clips receive airplay on Rage and Channel [V] for 'The Opening' track 'My Crown' as well as inclusion in an independant music film festival broadcast from Fox Studios, Sydney. With four years of mayhem fuelled gigs all over playing alongside Jerk, Japunga, Headkase, I-Nation and a controversial appearance at Rapid Festival; Mythology Version 1.0 came to a close in late 2005. The machine slept.

Fast forward 4 years and the phenomenon that is Mythology has returned, their sound matured into something that defies classification and is unclassifiably brilliant - in a word epic.

Foundation members Toby and TwitcH are joined by long term bass player Luke, Sky on Keys and Nick on Drums.

Welcome to 2010: A Myth Odyssee - Which will celebrate in tequila soaked style the 10th Anniversary and release of their debut album.

The MythGod is awake and it will eat your children.
