Bio

Nathan Edward a Hip-Hop artist running by the stage name N8; wasn't always as interested in music in his first years of high school. He grew up in Toronto, Ontario and attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel Secondary School with dreams of becoming a director or actor but with his uncle being a DJ, Nathan was always surrounded by the constant change of genres and always up-to-date with the newest music. Eventually becoming a DJ himself; as a means of getting paid. He started doing weddings, birthday parties, corporate events and fundraisers, plus with his joy of dancing and moving to any style of music, he was able to keep up with the rhythms and started getting into the musical aspect of it all.

He found himself interested in making music of his own. Nathan got a hold of different beat producing programs and always came up with interesting bass pounding and melodic works of art, either creating it all from scratch or remixing an existing song. He also took piano lessons and his father bought him Nathan his first guitar, so his musical mind state was growing as the years went on.

Nathan's friends would always give constructive input after hearing his instrumentals so he would always try to please the listeners as well as himself as the creator. Some would even freestyle over them whenever they'd all get together. This opened his eyes to not only making musically pieces of art but getting into a lyrically stand point as well. His lyrics would always be honest, witty and memorable. His inspiration to writing was always to relate the lyrics to the listeners because the lyrics Nathan loves the most are the one he can relate to himself.

After high school, Nathan started recording his friends and himself just as a joke and eventually he wondered if there was a college that could feed his hunger for songwriting, making music and recording; which is when he found Seneca College's IMP (Independent Music Production) Program.

Currently still in the program Nathan is bettering himself in every aspect of the Music Industry hoping one day to walk among the likes of Timbaland. His music has grown so much over the years and all Nathan wants now is to make instrumentals and either write or co-write lyrics for upcoming artists and big names. Also, Nathan hopes to get his hands inside a recording studio of his own and help all artists get to their dreams as he's trying his hardest to do himself.
