Bio

Nadia has been surrounded by music her whole life. Her father played bass in Rock n Roll bands and the home stereo sound system was used more frequently than the television set.

Like any young child growing up, parents choice in music is a major influence. It's no wonder Nadia knows all the words to any Pretenders, Fleetwood Mac, Celine Dion, Madonna, Eurythmics, The Eagles, ACDC, Elvis Presley, Cyndi Lauper and her mums intimate collection of love song compilations off by heart, after hearing them on on repeat a thousand times.

Nadia was given a guitar for her 13th birthday and discovered a natural ability to play and sing from the word go. The first song she ever learnt was 'Talkin 'Bout A Revolution' by Tracy Chapman and as a teenager, jamming on a Cat Stevens classic or most popular track from Alanis Morrisette, with friends, was a favourite past time.

Popular artists Norah Jones, The Dixie Chicks, Nelly Furtado, Des'ree, Paolo Nutini, Kasey Chambers, Missy Higgins, Elixir, Matt Corby, and Josh Pyke have been among other major influences up until now.

Nadia also found a love for songwriting and performance. She began writing about her experiences as a young teenager and perfomed in groups and as a solo artist in high school productions, theatre and events.

At 20, Nadia's musical profession kicked off and regular perfomances became her way of life. She went on touring as a solo artist and contributed many musical efforts to her local community and charitable affairs.

Nadia appeared on television show Karaoke Kangaroo as a state finalist with her Nancy Sinatra version of #1 classic 'These Boots Are Made For Walkin' and being drawn to the tv hype of talent show competition Australian Idol, progressively made it into the Top 100 out of 25,000 entrants in 2006. She has toured with 7 Aria Award winning artist, Wendy Matthews and performed at various festivals alongside Ross Wilson, and Colin Haye.

Nadia has written songs and co produced 4 promotional albums but has never made an official release. She has recently finished her third video and will be releasing her first EP in November 2012.

Nadia is representing herself independently hoping to reach the many Australians and people from all across the world who get the most out of songs that speak for them.
