"Legendary Bands Rock LA"

The Hotdog Band, headed by Rene Garcia and beauteous and talented Nadia Moore; VST and Co., composed of the Rigor brothers - Spanky, Roger and Male - And the Boy friends - Gary Arriola and Bob Guzman - rocked their L.A. fans when they performed Friday at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, California. The fans were rocking the rafters, dancing atop their chairs and singing along with some of the major classics from the 70's.

"All set for "Hotdog" Concert."

The Legendary Hotdog. - whose mid-1970s hit songs "Manila", "Pers Lab", "Bitin sayo", "Panaginip", "Bongga ka day", "Annie Batumbakal" and "Langit na naman" are OPM (original Pilipino music) classics - are on a three-city swing that also will take them to Winniped and Toronto.

Los Angeles-based Ella May Saison is to perform four English songs and a hit OPM title, "Till my heartaches End."

Kaye Liao, a Vancouver singer, also is include in Saturday's front act.

Moore - Nadia Nuqui before she married a Nova Scotian - was Hotdog's lead female singer for nearly four years until 2003, when she came to Canada as a landed immigrant. Nadia and husband, Bob, who worked at the Canadian Embassy in Makati, now live in Dartmouth with their son Carlo, 6.

I'm from Pampanga (province) -masarap magluto (I cook well)!" Nadia beamed, adding she's been singing for the last 20 years.

She's currently the lone non-Caucasian member of Universal Language, a Halifax-based R&B band in Nova Scotia.

Quite new in Canada, her singing already has taken her to various places including Ottawa, Montreal and Charlottetown in Prince Edward Island.

In Manila, she did the lounge circuit at five-star hotels, including the Conservatory at the Manila Peninsula where, as fate would have it, she met her future hubby.

"For me this is a reunion with Hotdog. I"m very excited," Nadia said.

The exciment at Plush Night Club, in Vancouver's Plaza of Nations, starts at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2004.

Nadia, an international performer previously based in Canada, now lends her unique character to the Oriental scene. From a career that started at the age of fourteen, Nadia has developed into what she is today.....a well-seasoned professional. She has performed in a variety of Asian hot spots. Her resume includes a five-year singing engagement with the Royal Family of Brunei. Nadia was lead female vocals for the legendary band "Hotdog" in the Philippines. Their performances include a United States tour in 2002 as well as a Canadian tour in 2004. Until leaving Canada, Nadia was performing lead female vocals for Atlantic R&B band (Universal Language). She also performed back-up vocals with Gary Beals of Canadian Idol fame. Nadia has appeared on television in many occasions both in North America and Asia. Nadia now makes her home in Beijing. She currently performs as lead female vocalist for "Cool Buzz Jazz Band".
