Captivating audiences with her soulful vocal deliveries, and her energetic stage presence that ignites an electrifying fun-filled atmosphere, Nadine Rae has been identified by The Chesapeake Music Guide as "...a guaranteed show stopper!" Her ability to perform a variety of genres including blues, R&B (Motown/funk/soul), rock, and jazz standards, has taken her in-and-around the region to various local venues, as well as festivals and/or concert-type shows. She has opened or shared the bill for a variety of national and regional gospel and/or blues acts such as Aretha Franklin, Steppenwolf, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Shemekia Copeland, BB King, The Late & Legendary Olivia Branch Walker, Catfish Hodge, and others. A Baltimore native, Nadine has been performing for some time as a lead and/or backup singer for a variety of local and national gospel acts, which led her to performances across the U.S. in many churches, as well as some of the nation's top stages. Later, she transitioned into the blues/R&B field, as a solo act and continued to work with a variety talented musicans from in-and-around the Mid-Atlantic region. Her performances included: 2007 & 2002 Chesapeake Blues Festival (Sandy Point, MD); the 2007 & 2006 Maryland Seafood Festival; 2007 & 2006 Chesapeake Music Guide's 5 th & 6th Anniversary Celebration; 2006 Hot August Blues Festival; 2006 Ladies Sing the Blues Production at The Prince Theater; 2005-2007 Annual Christmas Show at the Rams Head On-Stage Dinner Theater; 2003-2004 CMG Backstage Blues Festivals; and other concert-type settings, such as "Monday Night Blues" at the Westminster Church, Washington, DC; along with other restaurants/lounges around the region. Nadine is a member of the following musical organizations: (1) Washington Area Music Association (WAMA); (2) Baltimore Blues Society; and (3) DC Blues Society. She is the featured artist on the current CD release entitled, THE RICH CHORNE ALLSTARS FEATURING NADINE RAE, which has received its nomination as the 2006 WAMA Best Recording (Blues/Traditional R&B) for the song "Ain't No Cuttin' A Loose. She is also a 2007 & 2006 WAMA Nominee for Best Female Vocalist (Blues/Traditional R&B). Whenever possible, Nadine donates herself to a variety of fundraisers sponsored by various organizations such as the Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians (AM-FM). Currently, Nadine is working on her solo CD, which is scheduled for release January 2009.
