Hi everybody.......ok I haven't had the peace of mind to really sit here and squeeze all the details of how I feel in a little page....but I guess no one is asking me to spill out my guts if I don't feel like!...but see then It would'nt be me to just act cool and.... keep a low profile just so no one will really know who I am...Well that's BS....I chose and live for music everyday..Music is love therefore I "expose" my soul everytime I sing...so I won't be shy and I'll let the music do the talking but ...first....I have a long story to tell ,but I will make it short ....How it all started.........So welcome to my space.....Music is my life .I was born and grew up in Detroit of Italian origins.As a child /teenager dedicated every moment to art /drawing/pasting things together or just smudging paint on any clean surface...well..for the rest pretty much assuming a pretty regular life.....little did I know that the random mentioning of my parents intentions of returning to "the old country", meaning Italy , actually had a truth....Though it seemed possible , as years went by it slowly became unlikely..Until the day my brothers and I were told that the time had come to try selling our yellow brick house and move off to Europe..After so many years abroad mom and dad were leaving everything behind!The dream of returning was stronger than anything .It was very common back then to move to America for a while in search of new ideas .But very rarely did many familys actually decide to return to their native country...well though I had lived my whole life in the states I guess there was a bond with Italy I had to deepen.Once we arrived in this little town , that compared to Detroit was more like a village,things started getting tough.The language barrier, different culture, making new friends.One by one my brothers eventually moved back to the US.I was confused and decided to give it a try and stay with family .I loved art and thought I'd start from there.I went to art school.Started painting for local art shows and returned to America every time I had the chance and the cash ..I was obviously trying to positivly react to my fragile state of mind.I often found a get away dressing up with extravagent clothing..In other words dudes I would dress like Madonna..OH NO!Ok you can laugh!And everytime I felt lonely or home sick I'd sing it all out and feel so much better.This was all before it finally hit me that it was time to follow my heart... My longstanding love for music especially r&b and soul encouraged me to mix and play my personal music selections in clubs ,also because in Italy at the time it was such an unknown concept.From mixing came the desire to create my own tunes and from creation the need to sing...

Nadia Straccia nasce nella citta' del soul Detroit Michigan,USA,
da genitori italiani vive li per molti anni poi si trasferisce a Roma.
Studia canto,Gospel, Acting training (Lee Strasberg),danza classica e moderna.
Ha i suoi primi aprocci con la musica faccendo la D.j.di musica r&b e soul .
Come club vocalist collabora con D.j. internazionali come
Todd Terry, Raymundo Rodrigetz ,Ministry of sound London .
E' la voce per alcuni brani per la Time records,2005
Con Fargetta incide voce per Radio Deejay.
Interpreta alcuni brani per il film thriller
The Mark,Universal ,2004.
Esce con due singoli distribuiti in Canada , Europa e Giappone, 2002
Apertura del concerto dei Planet Funk.
