Bio

Nahvocado, aka Rad NAH, aka Gobblediguk is a founding member of California rap group the Blazewave Crew as well as independent label Hella Skeletons Records. Originally from the Bay Area, Nahvocado linked up in L.A. with MC Ridikulous aka RC Digital back in 2009, when the two started making hits on Garageband with ukuleles and oddball samples. Adopting the production name Hanging Gardens, Nah dove head-first into the wild world of beats, inspired by local Low End luminaries like Flying Lotus and Daedelus, and began seriously recording hip-hop with RC and a host of other like-minded emcees. Drawing from a huge variety of hip-hop influences--everyone from E-40 to Eminem to Method and Red, Zion I, Odd Future, Das Racist, and everyone in between--the quest for rap hits commenced. After independently releasing a steady string of singles, mixtapes, and albums online, the momentum swelled in 2014 with the release of The Blazewave Tape, a hyphy hurricane of next-level lyricism and a prime example of the magic of collaboration. The nineteen tracks were mostly recorded in Nahvocado's parents' funky old garage over the course of a few days, then taken back to Hollywood for more work in Hanging Gardens' laboratory, and the result is a cohesive, psychedelic atom bomb. Fresh on the heels of the crew's first West Coast show, the Blazewave Crew has multiple performances planned in the fall and winter, as well as a jaw-dropping solo tape from Nahvocado that sees the emcee and producer step out on his own with both honesty and swagger, finding a new voice and vocabulary as yet unseen in the hip-hop landscape.
