"Newcomer of the Week: Nai Br.XX"

"It’s already November, time goes so fast. 2015 was definitely a year full of new talented artists. This week’s Newcomer is Nai Br.XX, a 20-year-old soul singer from the USA. Briana Maddix aka Nai Br.XX is a singer who was born in New-York city. At the age of Thirteen, she moved to Atlanta, where she met the producer Sensei Bueno with whom she created her first song “Bed Weather”." .... "More recently, the lovely Nai shared her debut EP “Wasted Callaway”.
An EP for which she went back to her Jamaican roots, to add something special to her soulful voice and to the R&B vibes of this soul record. Once again, it’s produced by Sensei Bueno, and co-written with Nai Br.XX. She has always been inspired by big artists as Gregory Isaacs, Tina Turner or Alicia Keys, something you can clearly feel it in the EP." - High Clouds

"Nai Br.XX "Wasted Callaway" EP"

There are plenty of beautiful young women in the world of soulful music, but Briana Maddix aka Nai Br.XX caught our eye (and ear).
Growing up with Jamaican roots, she listened to artists like Gregory Isaacs, Sanchez and Beres Hammond and also admired female vocalists such as Tina Turner and Alicia Keys. Nai Br.XX was born in New York and at the age of thirteen she moved to Atlanta, where she met producer Sensei Bueno. He produced her first single “Bed Weather” and went on to produce Nai’s entire debut “Wasted Callaway” EP this Summer.
This ladies’ soulful sound might still be a tad rough around the edges, but that’s the way we like it. Not too smooth, raw and from the heart. Check out the track “Adventure Time” and if you like what you hear, purchase her EP on iTunes. - MOOVMNT

Nai Br.XX’s debut EP, Wasted Callaway, featuring the production styles of Sensei Bueno, shares a neo-soul sound that gives beauty and life to intricate and full-bodied rhythms.
