Bio

Naive Thieves are an independent rock/pop group from San Bernardino Ca. Principle songwriters Cameron Thorne and Levi Audette recorded and performed songs from an E.P. titled "From Nowhere" in early 2010 as a duet, with a live performance generally consisting of the two trading guitars, ukuleles and harmonies throughout. After earning "Band Of The Week" (IEWeekly) and being featured in several blogs early on, the two decided on additional members Jaron Eldon and Kyle Garcia to better equip the maturing band for an emphasis on their live show. Later that year the band would perform with John Vanderslice, The Dear Hunter, and on several radio shows including an hour long spotlight on the Thieves and their Ep "From Nowhere" which proved to be hugely beneficial, resulting in recording and touring opportunities for the band in early 2011. After performing at NAMM, playing two pacific northwest tours and participating in the L.A. circuit, the band filmed a video for their newly released Ep's title track "Le sheik Rhat" with Clement & Co (Pac Div, Casey Veggies) to debut sometime mid November. From the bands early Lo-Fi debut Ep, to the more polished "Le Sheik Rhat", Naive Thieves have been referred to as a mix between Little Joy and The Strokes. They've since expanded on this sound, including heavy references to Jazz, incorporating complex arrangements and chord patterns. The band is scheduled to record their first full length album with a release in early 2012.
