Naji P

Naji P doesn't have the clichĂŠ rap artist story of the NYC rappers you are familiar with. Naji P grew up in Queens, NY in a home with both of his parent, but wasn't a great student growing up. Naji never sold drugs, or got into the streets like most of his peers. At a young age Naji P fell in love with music, his family greatly influenced his musical tastes that still are apparent in his musical sound today. His sister dabbled in writing rhymes and at one point rapped; she introduced him to the likes of Kanye West, Nas, Jay-Z, Beanie Siegel, Mos Def, Common and so many more. His father also played a big role introducing him to his favorites of the Motown era and a lot of Jazz. Naji P is a big fan of The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Jackie Wilson, Marvin Gay and a lot of other legends. Sophomore year in High School, Naji P met his friend Mike Classic, who has made some headway with his music career and who also had a passion for hip hop. Mike Classic helped Naji decide to take his rap career seriously. His first started out under the rap name, "Real Good" where he released his first mixtape titled, Love Struck. Naji P’s sound encompasses retro soul, using a lot of beats with old school samples. His lyrical punchline style is refreshing and something right out of New York City. He has big dreams of accomplishing great feats in the music industry and a lot of talent to share, he also is a graphic design artist and is making a name for himself designing logos and cover art for artists. Naji P recently put out a project entitled, Eternal Sunshine which he released on DatPiff. He is continuing to network and build on his sound and musical talents.
