"Rockstar"

Rockstar by Naked Sunday
Midland Mid America

It is actually refreshing to hear that simple American style pop punk sound again and Naked Sunday provide just that with their upbeat song “Rockstar”. Naked Sunday rock it like it was yesterday and your dial had been permanently tuned to AM radio.

"Naked Sunday"

As our April cover stars Die So Fluid perfectly epitomised
there is a certain charm, an allure, and a
natural draw-ing of the soul to the number three
within our literative legacies. Folk-lore regarding
covens and witches always stipulate their gang as
comprising of the Mother, the Maiden and the Old Crone; fairy tales,
too, are replete with rhyme and song centred around a tri-force
of protagonists (Three Blind Mice) and as a formula Hollywood
seems to approach each new release with the design of it becoming
a three-quel (the heavily hyped hit, the quick cash-in sequel,
and the final milking of the cash cow of vestiges of profit) the
tri-brace of one’s has always held the top spot in our imaginations
subconscious, the number somehow feeling right when attributed to
endeavours of a greatness.
Make a list of all the bands and musicians that have found four
too many yet two not enough and the list would be nothing short
of a name-check of music’s greatest names; Nirvana, Rush, The Jimi
Hendrix Experience, all three-piece performers packing a powerhouse
of playing within their output.
Delivering melodic riff laden layers enveloped within a classic
rock sound its members Martin Stanyer on guitar and vocals, Laura
Stanyer behind the bass, and Craig Stanley bringing an awesome
array of technique behind the drums, Naked Lunch have invested
the two years between the bands inception and their latest release
turning attentions their way and audiences to their call.
Becoming the envy of their contemporaries was no easy feat, however,
with the group hitting the road like a ginger step-child and
appearing at over seventy venues within twelve months. A dedicated approach to their sound underlined their approach to creating
music belying their clipped count, their motivation of composing
the music they wanted to hear a subconscious chauffeur driving
them on to the top-spot of your playlist - such dedication even
extended to the band chartering their own coach for fans to see
those opening new venues.
Invitations to appear with the likes of Molly Hatchett and White
Coast Rebels can be counted alongside performances at the world
famous Vanfest, with the band exploding from between the pages
of worldwide music publications such as field leader and pulse
fingerer Kerrang Magazine!
Having already heard the gentle refrains of rock-done-right cross
the sea- and air-waves through BBC and Rockers Dive Radio, rattling
the speaker grills over at our offices and gaining a new fan in the
form of the lady who brings in the coffee, BWD Magazine got to work
and tracked down this three piece from England to dig deep into
their doings; discover the wonder of three and what wonders they
may be, their upcoming appearence at the October 5th Aces High
Festival in Nottingham, and if one is for you and two are for me, what is three all about...? - BWD Magazine

Bio

Naked Sunday are a three piece band that hail from the West Midlands playing their party rock anthems across the United Kingdom. Having formed in 2012 the band has a stable line up of Martin Stanyer Guitar and Vocals, Laura Stanyer Bass and Vocals and Craig Stanley Drums.

The trio formed from a love of music and wanting to play what they wanted to hear, they have toured relentlessly in 2013 racking up 77 gigs, nothing excites this band more than being on the road and taking their party with them, such moments as this came when they packed a coach full of people to take to Wales in September 2013 where a new bond was formed with a few new venues.

The song-writing hails back to a 70s/80s tinged rock putting their own unique modern spin on tales of growing up, falling in love and trying to make it out of a town thatě°˝€™s fallen to sleep. Itě°˝€™s a collaborative process from all three members that has appeal to the masses, with anthems and artistic statements.

Singer Martin Stanyer Co-wrote the UK 16 chart hit Hope aint a bad thing for the Neon Brotherhood and appears on it alongside bass player Laura and drummer Craig.

The band have done well in the press gaining airplay on BBC WM/Stoke as well as US Rock station Rockers Dive Radio, they have appeared in Kerrang, Bizarre, Full House magazine and also Big Cheese, reviews have been positive from Ryans Gig Guide, and Internet reviewers Bluesbunny reviews, as well as local press championing the band and their efforts for supporting Rock bands like Molly Hatchett, Sondura and appearing at 2010s Vanfest which featured Bad Manners and Karen Coleman of the commitments.

2014 see the release of their 4 track E.P ROCKSTAR with a music video to accompany, Naked Sunday show no sign of slowing down and aim to bring the party to your town.
