Bio

Naked to the World began in Los Angeles, California in 1993 when violinist Daryl S. sat in with singer/songwriter/guitarist Kevin Fisher. The musical synergy of that evening convinced Kevin to form a band that would express his songs with acoustic instruments and rock, pop and folk sensibilities, with influences from Liverpool to Nashville. He brought in 6- and 12-string guitarist/mandolinist David James, bassist Darby Orr, and drummer David Casanova, solidifying a lineup whose performances and recordings would win the hearts and minds of audiences from Nashville to Chicago to Seattle to their southern California home.

While in southern California, the band has played numerous shows at L.A.'s Troubadour, Roxy and House of Blues, as well as the Coach House and the Galaxy in Orange County. They've shared stages with artists as diverse as Carly Simon, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Debbie Harry, Richie Havens, Al Stewart, Larry Coryell, Leo Kottke and the David Grisman Quintet.

In the planning stages for their third CD (following their successful "Pilgrim's Kiss"), three members decided to leave the band. Kevin and David continued as Naked to the World with other friends brought in to complete the band, recording two more well-received CDs and touring widely in California and the Pacific Northwest. It was a lot of fun, but it wasn't quite the same, so . . .

In 2006, Kevin assembled the original five members to record the band's fifth CD, "Listen.Naked". The five decided that they really did like each other, and really did like playing together; the "reunion" shows have recaptured the musical magic that they had way back when.

The band is currently recording its sixth CD, with a working title of "Ready, Fire, Aim".
