"Our favorite rocker! In the past 15 years that I've owned this bar I've seen two unknown people go onto National Fame. In my opinion Nancy Atlas will be the third!" -Peter Honerkamp, The Stephen Talkhouse

"She's a rocker, not afraid to scratch below the surface."- Lucinda Williams

"Nancy Atlas is the entire package. She's visually stunning, a legendary live performer AND a brilliant songwriter. A guarenteed hit. I see her as a 20 year lifer in a pool of one hit wonders. Recently I saw a photo of her standing next to Bonnie Raitt I thought to myself, "Hey, Look at Bonnie Raitt standing next to Nancy Atlas!" - Lyle Greenfield, Bang Music 2005

"Could someone please help me find my ass because this band just blew it away!"- George Marshall, Soundman for The Downtown

"Nancy was always destined for success in my mind because she worked wonders with duct tape on her cowboy boots, looked damn good in a flag, and wrote lyrics that were so true they stung." - Heather Buchanan, The Independent 4/05

"She’s been compared to Lucinda Williams, Melissa Ethridge and Sheryl Crow with a direct influence
of Bonnie Raitt but Nancy Atlas has her roots firmly planted and her style is so much more her own.
She can drink a beer at the bar with those gals for sure. At the end of the night they tip their hats to
her as well." - Lon S. Cohen Hamptons.com

"Nancy Atlas has been one of the East End music scene’s longest
running success stories. Atlas and her band put on one of the most
raucous, goodtime rock shows one is likely to ever see, but she also
writes and sings songs from the heart that make her one of New
York’s preeminent singer-songwriters." Steve Matteo
Long Island Pulse 2008

"A treasure! Voted Best Singer or Best Band in the Hamptons in 2002, 2003, 2004 & 2005" - Dans Papers, www.danspapers.com circ.70,000

"If you've ever gone to a show you can see it in their eyes- All the girls want to be her and all the guys want to be with her. She exudes that Rock and Roll f-ckability factor that money just can't buy."- Phil Vega, Head Bartender and seller of over 1 million beers

"Nancy Atlas is the real deal. She's as authentic as a pair of well worn Levi's or a shot of Jack with a Bud Chaser. Never mind the fact she's a great singer (Dare we say a female Bruce?) & an inspiring songwriter (there's always room on the island for one more great songwriter, right?). She was our shining beacon on the Hamptons Documentary, where she told it like it was, not the way it was portrayed to be. Nancy Atlas loves her backyard, her art and all things simple. She is no bullshit. She is a patriot." - Tom O'Donnelly, The Improper Hamptonian

"We hired Nancy for a commercial and after she aced the audition I described her to our client as a rocking amazon woman. I pegged her for about 5' 11" to 6 foot. At the actual commercial shoot I was shocked when she stood next to me and was the same height! 5' 6"! This girl has a HUGE presence." - Rita Brockway, Casting Universal Studios

"Ms. Atlas calls to mind the music of Lucinda Williams and John Hiatt with their occasionally dark and sardonic lyrics, and early Bonnie Raitt with her fun loving exuberance and tales of evenings awash in whiskey, romance and heartbreak." - E. Ernst, Southampton Press, circ. 50,000

"The Chick has pipes!" - Clarence Clemens

"Watching Nancy handle a sold out show is like a watching world class tango. You go slightly numb. She is a pro; A howling, sweaty, wild, passionate, star quality, pro. Many night's I'll watch the masses of arms and energy, the sweat dripping off the ceiling at 3 am. and just when I think it's all magic I'll look over at her and she'll give me a wink. It just blows me away. She is my girl!" - Drew the SoundGOD, Soundman for Subdudes and Head Sound Engineer for Stephen Talkhouse

"With each set, Atlas kicks it up another notch till the whole
place is under her spell moving and shaking and begging for more. After
three sets of steamy pure rock and roll from some of the finest
musicians you'll ever see, you'll be asking yourself "Mick who?" "
Nicole Wilson - THe Montauk Sun 08

"The Nancy Atlas Project played to a sold out crowd well into the night on Saturday at the Talkhouse, celebrating the release of their third album, "Matador". It was the usual Atlas affair, a sweaty, steamy, rollicking good time and frankly we can't wait to do it again!" - Josh May, Dan's Papers 5/05

"Nancy Atlas was different from the other characters. She had that special something that set her apart." - Barbara Kopple, famed filmaker talking about her "Hamptons" documentary on NPR

"Should be on the Radio... A young Melissa Etheridge." -K. Amorim, Newsday circ. 578,000

"It sounds like the Arizona Desert, like snake skin boots, like roadhouse rock and roll. Atlas has a strong voice, so strong that at times it is downright - From People and Articles

Bio

Atlas and her boys have been a long standing mainstay in the East End music Scene for quite some time. The band has many accolades under it's belt and what every club owner wants to be attached to: killer music and a thick following. Atlas has blown away any previous records for most shows played at the  famous Stephen Talkhouse Stage , an honor that she also holds at the Montauk Music Epicenter, The Surf Lodge. This past winter (2015) she broke all existing records for Baystreet Theater with her sold out series, The Fireside Sessions, selling out five Friday nights in the dead of winter (300 seat theater). The reason is clear: The band kicks ass.

After studying art history abroad at Cambridge University, Nancy Atlas picked up a guitar at 21 and never looked back. In the past 13 years she has produced three albums under her own label, Neptuna Records, amassed a staggering posse of fans and received over 2 million hits on her website, nancyatlas.com. Known for her raw live performances and stellar songwriting, Atlas and her band of journeymen have been able to sustain several grass root tours across the US, sell thousands of CD's and have opened for just about everyone under the sun.

She has been the official spokesperson for Winn Dixie for the past 4 years being a major force in a campaign that single handedly brought back the company from bankruptcy.

She has often been compared to Bonnie Wraitt, Lucinda Williams, Kris Kristofferson, Sheryl Crow and Paul McCartney to name a few.

Influences include: Lucinda Williams, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Emmy Lou-Harris, The Kinks and The Stones.
