"Nancy Boyz Destroy Right Spot"

Aug 30, 2010
By: Andrea Victory

Hometown heroes Nancy Boyz (previously of Jar and Latefallen) returned to Bathurst from their new home in Toronto for a riotous homecoming at The Right Spot bar. They played 45 minutes of catchy, aggressive pop-rock for a full-house. Unfortunately, half-way through their encore performance of "Party In The Basement" a fuse blew in the bar and all the power went out. The drunk crowd made their way outside, and after a couple fights broke out, the police arrived at the bar to end what was certainly an epic night in the history of our beloved town. - Bathurst Daily News

Bio

Nancy Boyz is a aggressive pop-rock band in the vein of Lit, Sugarcult, Hedley, etc. Based in Toronto, the band has been working on their debut album "Boyz Gone Wild" for the past year in their home-studio. Former members of the bands Jar and Latefallen, their DIY work ethic has been paying off.

Their animated and energetic live set has been setting them apart from other Toronto acts. While the songs are straight-forward pop-rock efforts, their performance has feeling of a fun house party. They don't come across as taking themselves too seriously, which is refreshing in a city that does.
