It was a trek down the commercial route next for Nancy. Think Lady Gaga crossed with Kylie, add a huge sprinkling of energy and you may get an idea of what Nancy is all about. And you know what? It works! Yes that is coming from a hardened rock chick like myself! Nancy, backed by her three-piece band oozes charisma, sex appeal and confidence. Her vocals are strong and delivered with an ease that only comes with years of experience. The music is smooth, seductive and dancey; the sort of music that wouldn’t be out of place in a club. The whole recipe is catchy as hell; from the beats to the lyrics. Last song of the night, ‘Over Again’ is the perfect example of a song that will get you up dancing with the girls and singing along. So if Nancy can win me over, I can guarantee that if any of you lot see her, your foot will be twitching and you will feel the urge to sing along, because you know what, it's fun. Nancy is a new pop singer/songwriter from Bristol. Her sound is hooky original dance pop.
She is the youngest daughter of “The Quarrymen” keyboardist John “Duff” Lowe and has been singing, writing & performing in bands since her early teens
Having only recorded a few tracks she was approached by Bonne Idee (Bristol film makers, films include ‘Shank’ and ‘Release’) to write and perform in their newest film ‘Buffering‘.
They worked together so well Nancy ended up writing the complete soundtrack for the film which was released in 2012.
So far Nancy has supported Tinchy Stryder, The Hoosiers & will be playing other major events this year.
To sum Nancy up, she is a creative, charismatic, spellbinding performer with sex appeal and attitude. Her songs are catchy, the show is hot.
Nancy is a star and should definitely not to be missed!
