Thank you so much for a wonderful Saturday night. We enjoyed your performance so very much. We were just talking about you last night and how much we enjoyed the evening with you. ...thanks again and you will see us again very soon. (V & E)

You made the evening very enjoyable and relaxing for us and we plan on coming back for more lovely evenings! (A.S.)

We have described your beautiful singing to friends here in England and it would be great to hear you again and be able to let the friends share in the reality of what we've been saying....Heather, UK

The audience loved you and you had them spell bound because not a single one talked while you sang. Several expressed their thanks for presenting such a professional artist, performer and program and I thank you for giving us that. I have passed along the accolades to our Director, (S.D.)

Thank you so much for your delightful and excellent performance at our party. People loved you! You have
such a warm, lovely presence about you. Can't wait to hear you again. (P.L.)

Vocalist Nancy Scimone has a penchant for singing marvelous melodies and penetrating rhythms. Audiences use the words "magical," "extraordinary," joy" and "grace" to describe her live performances. Her diverse performing includes the London subways, transcendent cathedrals, private New York City clubs and penthouses, and the Kennedy Center Opera House.

From her early childhood in a small town near New York City, this youngest daughter of an Italian-American family knew from the age of six that singing would be her lifelong passion. A trained musician who sings in five languages and reads music fluently, Nancy Scimone performs as vocal soloist with duos, trios, full ensemble, big bands and orchestras. Her three octave range and sonorous low notes give depth and power to performing both jazz and classical music.

Jazz lovers have enjoyed her appearances at the Smithsonian National Zoo galas, the Carlyle Club, Spirit Yachts, Twins Jazz Club and 49 West. She is the regular Saturday evening vocalist at Washington, DC’s historic Henley Park Hotel, with DC's top jazz pianists including Harry Appelman, Wayne Wilentz and Wade Beach, performing tunes from the Great American Songbook, French songs, original songs, and new arrangements of jazz standards.

Her orchestral performances include the soprano soloist in Kurt Weill's The Seven Deadly Sins, Berlioz's Les Nuits d'Eté, Handel’s Messiah and the Fauré Requiem, the comic role of Olga in The Merry Widow with The Washington Opera, Villa Lobos' Bachianas Brasilieras, and as guest artist with the Yonkers, New York Philharmonic. She has also performed American music and French chanson concerts with Pierre Vallet (conductor with Paris and Metropolitan Operas) for the Bar Harbor Maine Music Festival and in New York City concerts.

She graduated from the American University with a degree in literature, with further studies at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, as well as from on-the-job experience with professional opera, theatre, orchestral, and jazz ensemble performance. Her private teachers include vocalists Patricia Miller and Christina Crerar.

Nancy Scimone pioneers the musical landscape with new arrangements joining enduring jazz and classical melodies in her world ensemble PARISIENNE, entertaining music lovers who are hungry for sophisticated, artful and soulful fun. PARISIENNE is a quartet of vocals, piano, bass and percussion. Their tunelist includes "Nature Boy," "The Great City," "Habanera" from Bizet's Carmen, "Estate," "Who Will Buy," "Valse d'amour," "La Vie en Rose" and "Sabor A Mi." Maestro Vallet is the classical music advisor for PARISIENNE.

Her recordings of inspirational music (over 12,000 sold) reach audiences worldwide.
