Bio
Nanda: A Japanese word used as a response to seeing a very strange or surprising .
Nanda is: Chen Pollina, Kiyota Sage, Misha Fradin, & Tomoki Sage. The four "acrobaticalists" compress as much action packed entertainment as they can into a short, high energy show that leaves no time for dilly-dallying, and always inspires the viewers.
It is hard to categorize Nanda. They juggle, they dance, they fight, they are musicians, comedians and acrobats. They are scientists experimenting with the art of performance and living on the edge where new ideas are born. The Nandinian philosophy is simple. Acrobaticalism. While living by this philosophy no matter what you do its an exciting & entertaining
combination of spectacularness & excellence.
Nandas juggling consists of many different passing patterns interwoven seamlessly together with music, and involving two to four people and six to thirteen juggling clubs. They have a unique style of break dancing that includes a lot of flips and handsprings worked into a dance with more conventional break dancing groundwork (spins, handstands, stalls etc.).
Then there is the fighting, always an audience favorite. It looks like the kung fu movies came alive, but without the special effects and wirework.
Nandas goal is to provide extreme doses of entertainment to as many people as possible. To introduce a new style of performing with no boundaries, not specializing in one category, but bringing all kinds of new material to the stage. Nanda always keeps it funny, odd, amazing,
and fresh.
