Bio
Naomi Lavender has been writing songs all of her life. Currently, she has written all of the songs performed with The Gash. She's been playing guitar since early adolescence and writes true, raw songs about her life experiences. Not to mention, she sure can wail. Rob Thompson, who has played music in the Atlanta scene since the 80s with bands such as Ghost Story, produced the more rock and roll sound you'll hear today in Naomi's songs. Matt Greenia is a long time friend and fellow musician and has played guitar in bands such as The Judies and brings a quirky bass sound. Satchel Mallon has also been on the Atlanta scene playing drums in bands such as Ocha la Rocha and Pink Police. Satchel is a madman and an awesome percussionist. Lori MacAlpine is Naomi's sister and a talented singer as well. They've had a lifetime of fun being singing partners.
gash- to chatter, gossip. also, to be dressed well, trim. Also, a deep, long wound.
