Bio
Narcos was made by Tom Gill upon his return from Italy in the summer of 2006. Tom decided that it would be easier to have just himself playing music instead of having a full band. Tom started recording in mid-August and has been doing so ever since. Tom started writing lyrics and music because it was a passion of his and he wanted to see what would happen. His biggest influence, The Mars Volta, was one of the other reasons that he first started writting music and lyrics. He felt that it would set him apart from other artists to use a similar vocabulary as The Mars Volta, but also because he was sick of hearing artists use the same one liners to grab people's attention. Tom is also influenced by Radiohead, MSTRKRFT, Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Death From Abover 1979 (R.I.P.), Femme Fatale, Bloc Party, At The Drive-In, Thom Yorke, The Secret Machines, and his brother, James, who is a DJ.
