What happens when music smashes the sound barrier? Analog spars with digital, creating cinematic universes of sound. Narcotourist, a trio from Hollywood, California blast into the future of music with their interpretation of what music for the millennium should be. Whether the drippingly sexy Touch Me, the sonic boom of Love Like A Revolution or the haunted opium den languor of Time, Narcotourist’s sound is eclectic and infectious; hooky, and sophisticated; thumping, and thoughtful. Narcotourist explores its subject matter by summoning an omniscient view of music.
Literal musical landscapers, Narcotourist lives through the interpretation of technicians Brandon Burnside, John Tague, and Cari Golden. Digital savvy combines with seasoned musicianship and chameleonic vocals, and the result is a flight through the human psyche. Though Narcotourist is a new endeavor, its members have all sparred musically on past projects. The chemistry of the trio became undeniable when proximity became possible, and Narcotourist evolved.
Narcotourist’s debut recording Moderate Stimulation will be available in spring 2007.
