Bio

Nerissa 'Rah' Kelly, social entrepreneur and artist shares her art in song by assuming the spelling 'Narisah' a name she stumbled across in a spiritual book many years ago. Narisah derives from third century Persia's Manichaean pantheon meaning “Virgin of Light” or “Goddess of Light”.

Originally from Chicago, she started out very young as a street dancer. However she’s noted for her authentic singing voice and acting role in Gene Siskel Black Harvest independent feature film E.S.P. Nerissa Kelly played “Tee” in the romantic comedy. She also wrote, performed the theme song “E.S.P” and montage song “Money.” When asked which art form she most enjoys she replies, “Dance, it’s my first love.”

Before she was even a pre-teen she danced and traveled with dance troupes competing in talent competitions. Singing and writing spawned as core creative outlets simultaneously. She began performing whenever there was an opportunity.

Her long anticipated album approaches in EP form. Five tracks and a bonus track with subjects she terms to be “unconventional tradition” talks about fashioning the mind to do incredible things and change external realities. Each song is as different as she explains life experiences should be for each individual.

Narisah's music is a breath of fresh originality and blunt perceptive truth that's unashamed of feminine mystique and sensuality. It’s about time…
