That's what Nashville & Backbones have been doing while approaching to the recording of their first original album. After more than 10 years playing classics from the masters of american west coast and english music one's gotta have learned something...
It's you who will listen to these 11 tracks who will decide if that's the case. Inside these songs all N&B musical influences find their home: trademark Nashville Trio (Matteo De Angeli, Marcello Dolci and Michele Tani) three-voices harmonies, acoustic arrangements and piano melodies. This time something more was needed though, because the sea is full of fish and there were many things to talk about. So today, thank also Backbones (Davide Mastroianni on basso and Tommy Taddei on drums) and an increased use of electric guitars if N&B's “nets” have plenty of fish to enjoy with a good glass of white wine. Dinner will be served with the utopistic folk of Carry Me and the laid-back rhythm of Outsider, the happy-go-lucky Night In On My Own but also the deep Song For Claire, slow-paced country with Blue Eye In The Sky topped with foot-stomping Goodbye Dolce Vita, the delicate With My Tears On and the energy of Plastic Paradise. There's past, present and future, fear and hope, love and damned love, white and black... because the sea can be both kind and cruel, there's everything and its contrary, you can't have just one side of it.
