"Reviews"

You struck a chord in me! Barbara Cloyd, Bluebird Café, Nashville, "you are a very smart and talented rock writer".

Natalie Ulrich is a very promising talent and I am impressed by her achievements . She has a wonderful warm voice, and has a gift to communicate and manages to cast her spell over the whole audience. Ambassador Raymond Loretan, Consulate General of Switzerland, New York

Natalie’s Ulrich’s music is great! very smooth and her voice is simply one of a kind. I love her songs and I am sure, that many of our listeners will too. Martin Muerner, Sendeleiter Radio Berner Oberland, Switzerland ,Vizepräsident Verband Schweizer Privatradios VSP, Geschäftsleiter Tourismuspool TPS, Leiter radiopower.ch

"Natalie Ulrich is truly unique - soaring melodies with a european influence that takes listeners on a musical trip then gently brings them back home..." Larry Oakes Founder of "Singer/Songwriter Sessions" www.NYSongwriters.com

Natalie Ulrich “Changing Perspective” Is it pop, is it soul or is it rock? The common categories don’t matter here, cause this music is mostly one thing: passionate and personal. Whether Natalie Ulrich sings from the perspective of the angry wounded woman wasting no more tears on her lost love or reflects on the human condition as a raindrop in the ocean, she does it convincingly, yet tenderly. Her strong voice is craftily accentuated by the soft strings of warm guitars and occasionally piano. Natalie does not reinvent the love song, but she lends it credibility again. This is rare in our times. Roman Elsener, Swiss News Agency

Natalie Ulrich is a very passionate singer. If you hear her sing you immediately feel that she is truly at home. Her voice is sensational! She uses it skilfully, softly yet powerful and rocking! I think this young Swiss Lady will start a big career. I wish her luck and hold out fortunes! Nathalie Schaerer, radio host from Switzerland

Can you walk with me, just for a while take my hand if only for one mile …

From a very early age I knew I would leave my footprints in the sand. I was determined to live for something greater, vaster, something I cared about, something that lasts and I always knew somehow that music would be the way I would express that.

I was born and raised in a small town in Switzerland. At the age of 11 I began playing the guitar and taking lessons from an old lady on the hill above my house. I wrote songs in English and a secret language I invented.

My love of music was equally as strong as my passion for dance but I struggled to justify living the life of an artist so I decided to do the “responsible” thing and earned a business degree. That was all I needed to motivate me to follow my dreams…I decided to move to New York where I studied dance. As a professional dancer I have performed on New York stages and can also be seen in "Carlitos Way" with Al Pacino,

My love of dance moved me into yoga and allowed for the time to get back into song writing. I borrowed an acoustic guitar from a friend and began a new musical career from scratch. After a lot of hesitation, I began participating in songwriter nights and doing gigs at the legendary Bitter End, Crash Mansion, Baggot Inn, Gaslight, Café Vivaldi, Kavehaz. I am most proud of performing at Nashville’s storied Bluebird Café, where I was asked back for a second performance.

I am where I belong, music connects me to a magical place– there’s that secret language again! I feel fortunate to have landed here at this moment in time. Despite the ups and downs of the past few years, this is still the most creative place in the world for me. It is a privilege to live in a city that moves me and challenges me.

My hope is that in some small way I can spark that flame in you...challenge you to live your dreams and not give up on them.
