Nat Allison

Nat Allison

BandRockSinger/Songwriter

Live it’s a rockin’ four piece band.. The sound is very much 'big guitars', 'Big melodies' and 'Big, solid drums and bass'. From evil riff driven songs with quirky lyrics to dramatic ballads.

Biography

At 27 Nat Allison is already a veteran. For 17 years it’s been Nat and her guitar, delivering hard edged rock ‘n’ roll with a healthy dose of sex and a glimmer of pop. Music is deep within her soul, an unmistakable passion.

Nat has journeyed to new york more than twenty times to write and record with Producer/Songwriter Mike Chapman (Blondie, Suzi Quatro, The Sweet and many more). This partnership has produced exciting material with Allison and Chapman currently at work adding to their already impressive catalogue.

Learning how to craft songs from one of the best in the business has been invaluable to Nat developing as a songwriter.

From the studio, to the stage, Nat Allison delivers a pitch-perfect scream, strut antics and evil guitar showboat.

To date Nat has played some 4000 gigs, including festivals and opened for big names such as Martha Davis and The Motels, The Screaming Jets, Jimmy Barnes, Invertigo and numerous others.

Recently Nat was playing guitar for one of Australia’s most amazing vocalists ‘Vanessa Amorosi’. From Interstate to international tours, TV performances and the video for Vanessa’s 2007 single ‘Kiss Your Mama’. It was an amazing experience for Nat to have under her belt only to be cut short to focus on her own career.

‘Rock ‘n’ Roll is not just about the clothes you wear, it’s about a hook, it’s about that guitar riff that hits you deep down in your soul and it’s about lyrics you’ll never forget.

What I’ve been doing is bringing the attitude back to female Rock/Pop. More Rock less pop. A high energy, guitar heavy performance with tough lyrics, powerful vocals and guitar solos to match.’ Nat Allison.

Lyrics

You Are The One

Written By: Nat Allison

What do I wear, what do I say
Wish all of my fears, would just go away
I’m so afraid, what if you say
You’re not the one that I dream of

You’re not the one, you’re not the one
You’re not the one that I dream of
You’re not the one, you’re not the one
You’re not the one that I dream of

I’m ready to crash, to ready to fall
Into your arms and never come out
My mouth is all dry, my bed is a mess
There’s just one thing, I’ve got to confess

You Are the one, you are the one
You are the on that I dream of
Though I’m not the one, no I’m not the one
But you are the one that I dream of

Waiting for a tender look
I’m starting to feel it’s all too much
We’re raging but I’m out of luck
I’m starting to feel it’s all too much

Solo

You Are the one, you are the one
You are the on that I dream of
Though I’m not the one, no I’m not the one
But you are the one that I dream of

Calling From The Beach

Written By: Nat Allison & Mike Chapman

My last goodbye
The waters calling me and drowning every tear I cry
The tide runs high
The wind and the waves screamin’ are you ready to die

Broken and bruised he left me defeated again
Now alone and abused
I stand here ready but scared to face the end

So I’m callin’ from the beach
Thinkin’ help is outta reach
I’m runnin’ out of time
Heart Broken and lonely
Yeah I’m callin’ from the beach
But the hand I’m tryin’ to reach
Is holding someone else
And all I can ask of you is
Please forgive me
For calling from the beach

I apologise
But the message that I left is all that’s keepin’ me alive
So if the sun should rise
It could only ever be if god can see me through your eyes

So now as I stand
And I pray facing my fate
I’ll reach for your hand closing my eyes
And hoping it’s not too late

So I’m callin’ from the beach
Thinkin’ help is outta reach
I’m runnin’ out of time
Heart Broken and lonely
Yeah I’m callin’ from the beach
But the hand I’m tryin’ to reach
Is holding someone else
And all I can ask of you is
Please forgive me
For calling from the beach

Bridge
Why……
Oooh
Why….

So I’m callin’ from the beach
Thinkin’ help is outta reach
I’m runnin’ out of time
Heart Broken and lonely
Yeah I’m callin’ from the beach
But the hand I’m tryin’ to reach
Is holding someone else
And all I can ask of you is
Please forgive me
For calling from the beach

Time To Fall

Written By: Nat Allison & Mike Chapman

Hold me close, we’ve only got tonight
And stars will light our way to paradise
Here with me you know you’ll be alright
So hold me close, baby be mine tonight

Tell me the tale of your life
Open your heart up to me
There’s nothing you need to hide

We can touch we can feel
And everything that’s real
But I could never hold you close enough
There’s so much to reveal
Moments we might have to steal
Cause tonight this is our time to fall in love
Yes tonight this is our night to fall…

In love….

Lay with me, put all you fears aside
Don’t wait tonight, there is no reason why
Believe I’m yours and you are mine
Come lay with me until the end of time

I’ll get to know you so well
Every kiss just the way it should be
And where we go from there who can tell

We can touch we can feel
And everything that’s real
But I could never hold you close enough
There’s so much to reveal
Moments we might have to steal
Cause tonight this is our time to fall in love
Yes tonight this is our night to fall…

Bridge

We can touch we can feel
And everything that’s real
But I could never hold you close enough
There’s so much to reveal
Moments we might have to steal
Cause tonight this is our time to fall in love
Yes tonight this is our night to fall…
