Natashas parents moved to the United States from Haiti when she was born, 24 years ago. Her father, Dr. Alphonso Beauboeuf, relocated his medical practice to St. Louis, MO, so Natasha grew up in Chesterfield, MO - a county west of downtown St. Louis.
She listened to music with her friends, which included everything from Incubus and Nine Inch Nails to No Doubt and Bjork. This wide range of influences would later play an important role in her unique style. Natasha also had a passion for acting; landing roles in school plays all the way through her senior year at Parkway West. Singing and acting she knew thats what she wanted to do!
Performing in coffee houses and local gatherings, she decided to up the volume and joined an alternative/punk band called Gothic Blues Quartet, playing gigs at all the local rooms that specialized in that kind of music. She received rave reviews on the Internet and Riverfront Times, and had audiences staring in amazement at her stage delivery! Still, she knew she wanted more. . .she wanted to expand her sound!
Thats when she met seasoned songwriter/keyboardist/producer Phil Minardi. The two of them hit it off and discussed developing a sound that included all of her influences. Phil had just recently started a new talent development company called New Music Talent, so Natasha and he agreed to write and record together. Thats when the magic started happening! Songs like Start With A Kiss and Another Day had anyone listening jumping up and yelling YEAH!! Which led to songs like Open Up, Not A Crime, Change and Wicked Love.
When you listen to Natasha! you hear many styles of music blended together. When you hear her amazing, incredible voice with this music you hear something very unique!! A statement not very many can say these days about an up and coming artist! Now, put that sound together with her look (to say she is beautiful is an understatement) and stage presence. . . . . . . . .you get an artist that is ready to turn the world upside down!!
