Bio

Home - a word so loaded with powerful sentiment for anyone... but a word that took on even greater meaning for Natasha while working in Japan for two years. From the first surreal night in the electric city of Tokyo, to her last days in her small town in the rice paddies, she learned that the word "home" does not signify mere geography.
After growing up in the small northern town of Whitehorse, Canada, Natasha left home to join the roaming generation trying to find their role in history. It is this journey that has inspired Natasha's debut EP, "Save a Place". Her songs probe the pain and excitement of exploring the world with its entanglements, disappointments and possibilities, and the relief of returning to her childhood faith - her 'home'.
Years of both classical training and improvisation have developed her soulful, rhythmic style at the keys. Harmonic arrangements give her organic sound a jazzy edge and keep each song colourful and unique. Conveying a magnetic and engaging vulnerability, her clear vocals, poignant lyrics and melodic hooks immediately disarm and engage listeners of all ages and backgrounds. The sound is fresh, stunningly honest and cathartic, full of anticipation and possibility.
Listen to "Save a Place", and you'll discover that familiar 'home' within all of us.
