Natasha Rorrer combines sultry vocals with fantastic guitar rhythms that infuse feelings of peace and captivation.

Biography

Natasha Rorrer creates her own style of pop folk through her acoustic guitar and combines it with vocals that dance between delicate and sensual.

Natasha Rorrer is a singer/songwriter in affiliation with Red Tide Artists Group, LLC. In November 2006, she released her EP "Broken Wide Open" which includes four tracks of her original music, skillfully produced by NYC's own Jason Finkel of Voxonic Studios. With the help of world renowned Josh Dion (Spyro Gyra, Chuck Loeb Band) on some light percussion, they created a solid debut that fans met with excitement.

Natasha composes the music and writes the lyrics for all her songs. She enjoys working through themes of humanity. The tracks from her "Broken Wide Open" EP are a part of a collection of songs entitled "What We Don't Say," a reflection of what she believes people have no trouble thinking, but have difficulty saying aloud. Music motivates her to create themes that people can relate to on a universal level.

In addition to her writing talent, Natasha also exudes a fiery stage presence, captivating her audience not only with her music, but her emotional honesty as well. Witnessing a live performance is more than a listening session: it is an experience.

Natasha Rorrer is currently based in Charleston and performs throughout South Carolina. She continues to sharpen the quality of her music, hoping to reach a greater audience throughout the east coast.

Lyrics

Closet

Written By: Natasha Rorrer

It's getting harder and harder to tell you the truth
I've got lies to cover my stories
That add to my pile of I'm So Sorries
I know you just want some honesty
Baby, I understand, but that's not something
You ever gave to me

Our privacy is, oh, so filthy
Our secrecy will be the end of you and me

You say, "Don't be too loud, keep it quiet and on the down low"
That just goes to show that you're ashamed of what they already know
I'll unfurl this pretzled tongue, I'll tell the world
What you have done to me
I don't want to cry anymore
The truth will set me free

Our privacy is, oh, so filthy
Our secrecy will be the end of you and me

I say, "Don't get too close, keep your distance and your hands to yourself"
What we had is all in the past
It doesn't mean a thing to me anymore
I know that you believed you and were meant to be
But what you said God wanted for us
He never wanted for me

Our privacy is, oh, so filthy
My honesty will be the end of you and me

Raspberries Try

Written By: Natasha Rorrer

Surrender my wings that I had on lay away
As I step off the plane and onto solid ground
For the first time, I search for your face
For the first time, I don't feel out of place
Your smile is blinding, your eyes are shining
My knees are so weak

When I'm with you, I'm drunk
You sober me up when you say
Stay with me
I don't know if it's good for you
But it's great for me
To be in love with you

You take me to place that I've never been before
We get lost all the time, I don't care anymore
Wrong route on the subway, it's late in Far Rockaway
People we don't even know are looking our way
'Cause they see that I fit the curve of your side
They say, "Seal the deal," and "Make this real"
Maybe I should give into what I feel

When I'm with you, I'm drunk
You sober me up when you say
Stay with me
I don't know if it's good for you
But it's great for me
To be in love with you

I hide my lips behind my teeth
Osculation makes me weak
I'm starting to like the idea
Of you and I

You're taking me, taking me
Breaking me, making me
Feeding me, needing me
Loving me, telling me
You'll take good care of me

When I'm with you, I'm drunk
You sober me up when you say
Stay with me
I don't know if it's good for you
But it's great for me
To be in love with you

Broken Wide Open

Written By: Natasha Rorrer

Love has taught me
That the prettiest words
Are the ones that we don't mean
So when you say that you'll take
All of me
Do you realize what you're promising

I'm so scared of loving you
I'm so afraid of falling into you

Love is supposed to be
Stronger than anything
But it only seems to weaken me
In more than just my knees
Everytime I see you
Everytime I hear you speak

I'm so scared of loving you
I'm so afraid of falling into you

Broken wide open
I am falling
Broken wide open
Come fill me up
