Natasha Slayton

Natasha Slayton is a powerhouse singer/songwriter with a 4-octave range. This dynamic 21-year-old has performed throughout LA at various local hotspots including The Knitting Factory, The Troubadour, The Cinegrille, House of Blues, and The Key Club. Natasha uses her guitar to write, but while performing, this exciting entertainer really PERFORMS, choosing to exhibit her voice as well as her professional dance experience. Her soulful vocal stylings combine the vastly differing genres of Rock, R&B, Blues, and Pop (common comparisons include Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, and Alicia Keys) and she is extensively trained in stage performance, hiphop, jazzfunk, and burlesque.
Selected out of thousands to participate in the Grammy foundation's prestigious summer music program, Natasha worked with Beyonce's singing coach, Mz. Lyndia Johnson, who selected her to sing backup with Earth Wind and Fire and perform her song "A Kiss" for Motown songwriter, Lamont Dozier. With 57 #1 hits to his credit, Mr. Dozier called Natasha's song, "a #1 hit!".

An accomplished actress, Natasha was a series regular on two network television shows and, at age 15, starred in the indie cult hit “Me & You & Everyone We Know”. Writer/Director/Actress Miranda July was quoted in an interview saying, “When I saw the audition tape of Natasha Slayton, who ended up playing Heather, I realized that she in that part was going to be so delicious that all the other parts were going to suffer in comparison, including mine!”

Natasha resides in Sherman Oaks, California where, when not performing, continues to enthusiastically study dance, voice and acting. Natasha's music is currently receiving airplay on various independent internet and satellite radio stations.
