Nate Lukas

Nate Lukas, a long time fixture in bands across the Northern Virginia music scene, is now an emerging solo artist ready to shake things up and do things his way. Lukas, a Jimi Hendrix Fender Guitar Competition finalist, began filling venues and opening for major acts before the age of 16.
Nate Lukas has played countless shows, run open mics, hosted major music events (such as Live Band Karaoke and the 2008 Holiday Acoustic Charity Show (which Nate Lukas organized, hosted, and played)). He’s not only been recognized as an incredible guitar player, he is also a much sought after songwriter/collaborator and singer. Influenced by artistic rebels such as Johnny Cash, James Brown, and Kurt Cobain yet maintain a standard of grace and showmanship the likes of Jeff Buckley, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra. Other influences include The Beatles, Foo Fighters, Chris Cornell and The Living End.

Born to a small farm life in Kansas much like his early childhood hero Superman, Lukas spent his early years as a vagabond of sorts between his grandmother’s house in Kansas and his mother in Virginia. Music was always an outlet of sorts for Lukas' feelings about his difficult home life and a catalyst to his tenacious spirit and genuine nature, which captivates young and old fans alike. Lukas is currently working with several producers on a debut album. Nate also enjoys working on his iTunes radio show Poverty and Principle Radio, acting, writing, and has been used as a model on clubs billboards and advertisements.
