Nate Pointer/Lifesongs:LIVE/2009

Although Nate's music offers simple songs and lyrics; they offer a powerful message. His ministry goes far beyond the realms of music - it extends to the daily routines of his life. Whether singing, dancing, engaging in a conversation or simply saying hello to someone, Nate truly desires for the love of Christ to be demonstrated to others through his life.

Actively singing since the age of seven, Nate has taken his message of Christ across the country. When he reached the age of eight, he became a member of the Soul Children of Chicago under the leadership of Walt Whitman. This opportunity enabled him to experience life outside of the realms of his community and allowed him to blossom in his musicality as well as become a more disciplined singer and performer. Coupled with his participation in the Soul Children, Nate has been involved in several recordings, and has performed behind artists such as Aretha Franklin, R. Kelly, Garth Brooks, Dionne Warwick and many others. His other performances include: EMI's Antonio Neal; Shabach Entertainment's Leon Timbo; R&B Artist, Frank McComb; and QWE/Jive/Zomba/Verity's DeWayne Woods, member and lead singer for Donald Lawrence & Company.

In 2006, Nate released his single "Just a Test." This song speaks to the ups and downs of life, with a message of hope and assurance that they are only temporary situations. It is the personal testimony of Nate, who at the young age of 23 has definitely experienced some of the various hardships this life brings. From growing up in a broken home, to involvement in a relationship that nearly left him dead, his life struggles have given him the motivation and authenticity of his music to be felt by all who are listening. His music is in no way deceiving; "Trust You," featured on his single, speaks of some his day-to-day financial struggles and his desire to live a life of celibacy in a world of sexual promiscuity. These songs are sure to leave you strengthened and encouraged to walk out God's purpose and destiny for your life.

2007 was an amazing year for Nate. He recorded live with Zomba recording artist and Stellar Award winner Vickie Winans, and also performed with Grammy Award winner Kelly Price. He was featured on Tyscot's own Vashawn Mitchell's live CD/DVD titled "Promises"; and was also featured on Dexter Walker and Zion Movement's freshmen project Move.

In January of 2008 Nate recorded LIVE at the Spoken Word Cafe! His freshmen project titled LifeSongs is a mix of praise, worship, soul and rock. It will offer hope to the hopeless and the inspiration needed to push one to get all that life has to offer. It will release in the spring of 2009. This album promises to capture the heart of this generation musically, spiritually and mentally and open the door to renewed and/or greater fellowship with our Savior! Get ready as a new voice of this generation arises - Nate Pointer.
