"Nathan Miller ---Bombs and a Hustle"

“This album by Minnesota native Nathan Miller offers up a full five-coarse meal in the guitar department… What truly stands out is the funky groove that the guitar evokes seemingly on every track, couple that with some eclectic sounds peppered about and unique instruments like kalimba and weissenborn slide guitar and you have yourself a pretty damn good album to build off of.”

"Nathan Miller: Blues You Can Use"

“If you like Johnny Winter, you’ll have no problem getting next to Nathan Miller. Miller’s playing has that same swaggering, raw-edged power. He drops the hammer hard and mean, especially on such raucous standouts from his repertoire as the churning “Helen Keller” and the funky “Music’s My Religion”. He does so with such appeal that he sold just this side of a 100 copies of his CD Bombs and a Hustle at last month’s Fine Line release gig alone.”

"Diggin Into the Dirty Earth to Expose the Roots of Nathan Miller"

“…I was refreshed to find Nathan Miller kicking out some fine music. A musical wind from yesterday sitting right and proper in today’s world. The ‘roots’ music that he plays has a real groove that will get your boots stomping as well as a slower simple verse that leaves no room for misunderstanding.”

Bio

Nathan Miller and Unstoppable Company's journy stared at a chance encounter at a local bar in the North East Minneapolis in late Winter of 2004 when Nathan met then IPR student and Producer/Engineer Matt Eckholm. After many conversations, the two decided to start a recording project with the hopes of adding a full band behind Nathan's lap slide guitar. While laying down demos for the album, another than IPR student by the name of Miles Hansons came on board to complete producer and engineering line up as well as play percusion on the upcoming release. Once tracking started on Nathan's debut album, recorded and produced by two students at no charge, Dan Ristrum (Bassist/Vocals) and Peter Day (Drums) were added to the line up, and after monthes of tracking, editing, and mixing "Bombs and a Hustle" was released to a sold out crowd on May 5th, 2006 at the Fineline Music Cafe in Minneapolis. All was well until a line up change was needed to be done due to scheduling conflicts, and at this point Tyler Jorenby and Shane McCullough were added to complete what is now Nathan Miller and Unstoppable Company.
