Bio
Nathan Murphy, baritone, is a first year music performance and music education major at Ithaca College. He is a member of the Ithaca College Chorus, Madrigal Singers, and Symphony Orchestra. Before coming to Ithaca Nathan studied with Dr. Jean Anne-Teal at Mansfield University. In addition to singing Nathan has played the cello since he was five years old. In the summer of 2007 Nathan studied at the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the arts with a focus on cello. Last summer, as a member of the gold medal winning Mansfield University Concert Choir, Nathan participated in the World Choir Games. This summer he looks forward to a season of work at The Chataqua Institution. Nathan’s non music interests include downhill skiing, soccer, swimming, and camping.
