I am artist. I have been so as long as I remember. I began playing music as a way to relax and cope with the world around me. The more I write the more compulsive I become to write more and to share myself with others. My influences began with 50's and 60's beach and even gospel. Elvis Presley was always cool to me. I was raised the 'son of a preacherman'. I wasn't allowed to listen to certain rock and soforth. I listened to classical as a child also. Through my childhood my most relaxing moments were listening to a friends father play acoustic guitar. This is when I fell in love with music. I began playing guitar when I was 15. I turned poems that I'd written into songs. Through Middle and High school I listened to 90s rock overlapping oldies. In college I began really listening hard to jazz and even bluegrass. I went to Brevard College in the North Carolina Mountains. When I moved to Charleston South Carolina I woke up my pallete to every other genre I could cram into my head. I listen now to a lot of classic rock and modern rock along with everything else that I know. I'm not playing with anyone at this moment. I've just been writting. I plan on pulling a couple core musicians that are solid and goal oriented to play with soon. I have written 55 original songs of which I have recorded in my small home based studio. I have been recording random friends and even full bands when I get the chance.While in Charleston I have had the chance to listen to local acts and even big acts for influence.
