We also gaze a couple of months ahead to this year's Swn Festival, a citywide celebration of intriguing leftfield music that dominates Cardiff's finest music venues over a whole weekend, from 17-20 October.
The first ruck of artists has been announced and it's already a remarkably tantalising prospect. Every year I hear unexpected wonders, fall in love with a bunch of bands I'd never heard of before, make new friends and gaze on in mystified wonder as the Silent Disco turns the Great Hall at Cardiff University into one of the strangest sights you will ever see...
Elsewhere in this week's show, Ben Hayes brings a new pressing of an old album in, with Merseybeat overtones.
There are debut plays for some fascinating new Welsh artists: Joey Trilliani, Royal, Him Again, Through Colour, Prints Jackson, Nineteen Fifty Eight, Foxgloves and The New Red.
