"TripleJ Unearthed"

Oh yeah! This has got a hell of a lot of swing and punch and your ep is consistently good throughout too. I'd love to see if your live show kicks as much as this song promises it should! - TripleJ FM

Meanwhile, I am into this sort of thing, which takes the electro thing to its logical conclusion: total and utter pastiche. If you're going to do something, you might as well go all the way. From the artwork to the synth tones to the Lauper-esque vocals on minimalist joints like the title track and the disaffected, bittersweet Discount Love, this should be go-to music for anyone planning on making a teen movie set in the 80's.' - Street Press

Melbourne 3 piece National Airlines formed in 2007. Inspired by iconic punk rock recordings like Julie Ruin and Television as well as 80s keyboard and alt bands such as The B-52's and Gary Numan, National Airlines messes with the New Wave genre. This is not pastiche, this stuff comes out of the band's long term obsession with listening to breakthrough music.

"I can't write love songs..." Lead singer and lyricist Dallas doesn't fit the mould of your standard heartache biographer. You won't find a song that takes you back to your last break-up or makes you pick up the phone and call your mum, but you will find lyrically well crafted social commentary that gives pop culture a cheeky spank now and then.

The band has played around Melbourne venues solidly for the past 18 months, gaining fans and reviews and polishing a strong set and energised stage presence. They have headlined at Melbourne's best live venues such as Ding Dong Lounge, The Curtin Bandroom and the hallowed stage of the Esplanade Hotel's Gershwin Room as well as slotting into lineups with some of the best acts Melbourne has on offer right now.

National Airlines have been feature artists on,,, and
The band made it to the top 5 of the coveted iRiver promotion last year, the uncharTED top 50 and are currently appearing as musical contributors to the highly promoted NYC fashion site 'Stylecaster'. Tiger Airways in-flight magazine 'Tiger Tales' sites NA among Melbourne's best alongside big names such as Midnight Juggernauts.

With a style all their own and owning the stage every time they hit it, you just know that National Airlines are carving their own way in the current music landscape.
