Bio

Jason Berg and Aaron de Leon started out a project consisting of just guitar and drums with Aaron as lead vocals. This formation was called "Peas And Carrots". They began to compose and create music inspired by Japandroids and other similarly structured bands. The prepared for their first performance which was held at a local cafe, opening for another local band, Ghost Cousin.

After this first appearance in the music scene, the duo was approached by one of their closest peers, Jason Sperle. Jason Sperle took the position of bass guitar and practiced alongside with the two and began writing new songs which produced a more "beefier", "bolder", and "defined" sound. The rock-trio had formed under the name of PnC for one performance at Edmonton's "Hydeaway".

The performance at the Hydeaway had exposed them to local musicians that had heard PnC before the bass guitar was included. The group received comments that generalized how the sound had changed. PnC had then sat down and began analyzing what was next and especially what is now. With a new sound, new group, and writing style, National Security Council was born.
