Back in April C.Wills and DJ ROME Forte of Atlanta-based collective NATIV3 SOUNDS, dropped off audio for their 420 inspired single “Head High.” This week C.Wills returns with visuals for his latest solo effort titled “Head High,” produced by DJ Rome Forte and Directed by Spudds Mckenzie. In their own words the video “might be one of the scariest 420 inspired short horror films that the industry has ever seen.” The music video was shot on location in North Hollywood, California. -

NATIV3 SOUNDS is back with the ‘Habitual Vices’ album.
In a time where “VICES” are glorified in rap music more so than ever, NATIV3 SOUNDS defies the norm by tapping into the withdrawal side of habit forming topics that are so often rapped about. Whether it be money, sex, or drugs in unbiased tasteful fashion, the music collective displays undeniable range in terms of production and subject matter.

Songs like; Numbers, It’s Lit, Double Flip, and Orgy gives the listener the perfect mix of bounce and tempo while not at all lacking in lyrical content. Tracks like; Head High, 92 Game Spitta, and Cut the Check will have you going back and really dissecting lyrically what was said. NATIV3 SOUNDS most recent EP Habitual Vices is a movie and should be listened to in one sitting from start to finish within 24 hours of listening to “CUT THE CHECK”. The soulful melodies, beat down bass and fluent changes in production in each track are easily comparable to a movie transitioning it’s scenes. The main cast C Dot Willis, Qualo , and DJ Rome Forte set scenes as if they were a team of writers & directors at HBO. This production (with features from Trapo, JAM, Luwop, MADDRICH, Nomad, King Jody, & Stino) shows a well networked team...actually... a family. This is easily one of the most diverse productions of 2018. Nativ3 Sounds really brings home the gold with this one, but i don’t expect anything less from this Triple Threat.

Their abilities to take you out of your seat and into the music is the most interesting part of this project. “Alcohol Poisoning” is an astral projection into the mind of the lyrically talented Qualo. DJ Rome Forte’s beat alone makes you feel out of your own body. His ability to build a production with this much control is impressive. C Dot Willis tags in next with “Head High” just like his partner he lacks nothing in the department of lyrics. Their styles do differ but in that there’s synergy. They blend like a backwood and henny on a First Friday night on payday in the summer. Anthems like “Number"s and “Orgy” are two favorites of mine. Filled with loud production, solid melodies, dope hooks, well placed features and matching verses from this killer trio “Habitual Vices” is addicting.
