Bio

Another summer has come and gone, but the heat remains. The unblemished youth of yesterday are now the worry of coppers and dodgers and mothers and fathers.  At a house on the corner the garage door is cracked — rock and roll music. A boy in the park smokes his first cigarette. Suzie gets the car for the first time. Johnny has a party for the last time. Johnny and Suzie dance their first dance for the last time. The workers are restless at their dry day jobs, sneaking quick sips from their cupboards and quick looks at the others, trading careers in banking for irreverent hip shaking. Mosquitoes fly porchside, good riddance to daylight.  The pool hall is filled with Sams who don’t look right. It’s on this hot night that Native America comes blaring across the air-waves, stealing your gal and ripping your jacket, a soul-pop Cadillac inviting the glad broken hearts of our boys and our girls to enjoy the last party of summer.

Native America is a New Orleans garage pop trio made up of Ross Farbe, John St. Cyr, and Ray Micarelli. The group has been booked as direct support for King Kahn and the Shrines, Woods, White Fence, Dent May, The Black Angels, and The Shins. They are set to release a new LP in the fall, via Inflated Records. October tour dates will be announced soon.
