Bio
Rich, warm and emotive are a few words to describe the voice of one of Australia’s best kept vocal secrets, Nat Ripepi. Performing professionally across Australia, Europe and the UK for over fifteen years and nominated for several music industry awards, it is her long awaited second album ‘Piece by Piece’ released in late 2010 that will see her rise to new heights in 2011.
Nat is a multi award winning and consummate performer, who on the back of her debut LP release ‘Universe’ has chalked up local independent chartings, final placing in several songwriting competitions and Western Australian Music Industry Award nominations (WAMIS).
‘Universe’ has been described as “beautifully polished and intoxicating” (West Side Observer) and Nat’s growing audience agrees with 4 sold out pressings as well as inclusion of several tracks on compilation albums.
Ripepi's second LP release 'Piece By Piece' has also received rave reviews with Out In Perth Magazine calling her a "national treasure in the making." Her first single 'So Many Ways" has already received national and international radio play. Piece By Piece is distributed nationally through Firestarter Distribution
As well as frequently performing her own gigs, Nat has opened for many well known international and Australian artists includingPat Benatar, The Bangles, Billy Bragg, The Waifs, Ben Folds Five, Luka Bloom, Kate Ceberano, Deborah Conway, Tex Perkins, Jonathon Richmond, Mark Seymour, Tiddas and James Morrison.
