In the same period, the band started developing a side project dedicated to electronic music: the ChokoDiscoManiac, immediately winners of various international contests like “Scratch My Back” directed by Peter Gabriel and “Quiet” managed by the Swedish Label Playground Music.

Their never ending tour in Italy accompanied the band to the intense work in studio for producing their first Album, “Electric Lane”, released digitally in April 2011 (on Label/Publisher Metatron, Distribution Believe) and released physically on the 1st of September 2011 (Venus distribution). “Electric Lane” received good reviews and attention not just in Italy but also in the Northern Europe (promotion and distribution by the Swedish label Electric Fantastic Sound) and in North America. Since September 2011, Nena And The Superyeahs are promoted and distributed in Scandinavia by the Swedish label Electric Fantastic Sound. “A Little Of You”, Electric Lane’s first single, became part of the compilation “Japan – A Benefit CD”. “Relax”, Electric Lane’s second single, was promoted as a single in Scandinavia and it became part of the soundtrack of the American
TV series “Girlhattan”.

Since late 2011 NATS started touring clubs and theatres in Italy with their first acoustic tour whereas in March 2012 the band started the new electric tour. In June 2012, the “Happy Children” EP was released in Italy (label: Emmeciesse) and the single (originally released in 1983 by P.Lion) was one of the most broadcast songs by the Italian radios in July and August 2012.
