"Rolling Stone"

Simons molds 13 songs that unfold with ease, planned by the acoustic legacy of Neil Young, Cat Stevens and Bob Dylan. Thanks to songs like Indian trees or Another coffee and cigarette day, she is able to build up her own voice among the references strongly marked within the whole album. To be followed closely - Fernando Navarro

"Fac Magazine"

An album, let’s just say that, I don’t doubt to classify as one of the best debut albums in the history of the Spanish indie genre, as well as the most brilliant folk disc recorded in our country - Jesús Santos

"Europa Fm"

The best folk album recorded in Spain - Javier Limón

"Dirty Rock"

Nat Simons shows off her personal style and it’s pleasant to savor her songs and lyrics, and let each note, or burst of her voice, nourish the fuel necessary so that “Home on High” can highlight, her voice, harmonica, guitar, drums and organ as they grow with each song, tighten up, until an arrow irreversibly pierces our hearts - Carlos Perez

"Radio Ricochet"

Nat Simons, joined by some excellent pieces of work, delights us, with an album full of folk-rock and blues, it’s elegant and intriguing , and also deserves to be among the best current albums -

"Genetika Rock"

Her debut album, Home On High, is conquering hearts and it’s no strange surprise. Nat Simons is a Spanish singer, songwriter and guitarist player, who wonderfully mixes folk-rock with blues and jazz influences. Shows a lot of raw emotions. Better not miss out on her music… - David Acosta

"8 pistas"

Nat Simons’s debut album couldn’t have been better, so visionary and surreal yet very sincere. Taking all the necessary measures, she was able to create a piece of work that deserves to be heard by everyone at least once in their lifetime..' - Dr. Charles

"Ruta 66"

...although some people wrongly use the words Folk or Country, in Simon’s music we can clearly find clear evidence of these genres -

"El giradiscos"

Home on High is a classic album in terms of influences , but it’s also a piece of work open to new trends, incorporating them with elegance and talent. It’s definitely one of those albums that makes you fall in love and get hooked on -

"Esa canción me suena"

It’s the debut work of a songwriter born in Madrid on 1985, but listening to it no one would dare confirm any of these things because this album doesn’t sound like a debut nor like a Spaniard newbie. It resembles more the work of an American veteran songwriter from the 70’s. David Gwynn has a lot of reasons to be proud for producing this album… - Chema Domenech

"Unagi magazine"

… on some occasions debut album and a masterpiece become synonyms… “Home on High” is a mature, profound album and it’s full of complex aspects and hints just like a good wine…. A mix of styles and sounds that a lot of big names, not only from Spain but also from America wouldn’t mind signing her -

"Noticias de Navarra"

Nat Simons blew everyone away on her first visit to Iruñea, making it pretty clear why she’s the representative of folk rock on a national level and the reasons why she has so many awards. Demonstrating to everyone that attended Ciudadela Music Festival that she’s not just a new artist, but that she is also coming into the music scene with a lot of force. She’s a singer that will definitely float to the top. Soon people will start saying “I was there” referring to the great privilege it was to witness her performance. - J. Óscar Beorlegui

Another coffee and cigarette day

The leaves have covered all the way back home.
It's been so hard to get it out from my mind.
Whatever made me want to change myself?
I almost lost my mind, even my name.

Oh, sometimes I feel so low-down,
but nowadays I'm on my own.
Now I'm fine,  cause this is another coffee and cigarette day.

uuuuuhhhhh

The radio is playing every weird old song.
Then it feels good to think that something has to come.
I'll never do the things I used to do.
I suddenly find there is nothing to lose.

Oh, sometimes I feel so low-down,
but nowadays I'm on my own.
Now I'm fine, ‘cause this is another coffee and cigarette day.

uuuuuhhhhh

This is the last time I'm going back.
I'm always feeling bad when you were by my side but
now I'm much better, now I'm all right.
I guess you are so good,
you're satisfied,
I guess you are so good,
you're satisfied.

Bio

Nat Simons is a Spanish singer and songwriter of folk-rock music, and she is one of the references to keep in mind when speaking about the genre called ‘’Americana music’’ made in Spain. Her song lyrics are mainly in English and the music has certain Blues and Country influences, as well as other styles such as Jazz and Soul. She admits being a self-taught musician and her influences include veterans such as Neil Young.  She loves his song “Heart Of Gold”, but she’s also influenced by new music trends, such from ‘’First Aid Kid’’ o ‘’Ryan Bingham’’.

The future is bright for this artist from Madrid. She was brave enough to make an album like this in the Spanish Market. Home On High (2014) is the title of her album produced by: David Gwynn and recorded at the Audiomatic studios. (José María Rosillo) Where she recorded her 13 songs that make up the album. It was a highly accepted album by the critics and audience. She was named ‘Best New Talent” by Fnac and was chosen as Best Spanish Artist” by audience of the Toma Uno program on Radio 3. She presented Trouble Man (2015) during one of the editions of Huercasa Nights (April 23 Paddock venue in Madrid) after coming back from Barcelona where she was the opening act for the The Jayhawks at the Barts venue.

Nat Simons also performed on the 10th of July of this year at the Huercasa Country Festival in Riaza, Segovia, forming part of a line-up of artists such as Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell. This lead to a great impact, days after the event because “Nat Simons’’ appeared on several front pages of newspapers from Castilla and Segovia, including news segments on national television channels like Cuatro and Rtvcyl, where she gave an exclusive interview. Shortly after she was part of the List of Acts that performed at the Ciudadelarte 2015 in Pamplona; where she acted on August 7th on stage with her band. There were high expectations and she was able to conquer the stage, resulting in great reviews. One of them being from J. Óscar Beorlegui who works for the newspaper ‘’Diario de Noticias de Navarra’’ . In the upcoming months Nat Simons will be in charge of composing several songs for the surprising art exposition “The illusions from the Wild West” (‘’La ilusión del lejano Oeste’’) from the prestigious artist Miguel Ángel Blanco, where she will be performing a live act of the songs composed for this expo displayed at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum (Madrid- from November 3rd to February 7th )
