About NatStar the King™
Hip-Hop meets R&B in the soul of rising rap king Christopher “Natural”
Stowe a.k.a NatStar, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. His debut album
“God’s Gift” is a true reflection of using the gifts and talents to reach
over mountains to touch millions. Each track was written, produced and
performed by NatStar himself. His talent goes without saying. “Leave With
Me”, the album’s debut single is sizzling as it illustrates how “hook-ups”
start. NatStar believes ladies want the fellas to be upfront. “That
‘upfront honesty’ gives the ladies a choice, an option, different from the
typical approach. How often do you hear the fellas say, “What’s up, I’m
with somebody right now, but I’m feeling you and we can do this if you
like.” Or, “I know you got a man but if he’s not treating you right let’s
roll-out.” That’s why image is everything! NatStar’s a “cutie” according
to the ladies, but this 23 year old hot new artist has a deeper connection
about his music than sex appeal and chasing skirts. He says, “Music to me
is a 6th sense. It’s a combination of my feelings and what I hear. Music
is more than a recreation; it’s the essence of our being. So with this
essence I desire to birth a new talent into this industry. This genre of
sound will cause the audience to voluntarily imprison themselves within my
music.” The enthusiasm behind “God’s Gift” is spreading fast and his
talent stretches beyond imagination. Multi-talented triple threat (rap,
sing, produce, and much more), incredible raw talent; our rising rap star
king, can’t wait to see what’s next! Bouncing off of his first documentary
DVD entitled “Welcome to my World” in October 2005 and his first release
party in December 2005 at The Wherehouse, NatStar is ready to cross all
barriers to be the FACE of music itself. He is currently working on his
next solo project to be released in mid 2007 and is head of production for
artist Deonna Martin’s scheduled new release album. “As a new artist in my
area, having more than 100 people in attendance at a release party is
unheard of. So when I debuted and had over 300, I was like “that’s hot”.
Promotions at that time were extremely short and limited. So that turn-out
was the first in the history of hip-hop artists at The Wherehouse.” In
continuing to promote “God’s Gift” through listening parties and
showcases, this only scrapes the history of accomplishments of our future
rap king. In 2004 and 2005, Natstar produced records for major label
artists such as The Nappy Roots, Deonna Martin, Sha Stimuli, and Lil
Wayne. Also in 2004 he signed a second independent deal with AVS. Records
out of Atlanta, GA, and produced the entire album for AVS Records/GoldMind
artist Double E, Missy Elliotts “The Road to Stardom” contestant. In 2002
he signed his first independent label deal with “Now City Productions”
headed by veteran Producer SKI who’s known for Jay-Z’s “Reasonable Doubt”
and “In My Lifetime Vol.1”, Camp-Lo, Foxy Brown, and Lil Kim. In efforts
to keep his plate full, NatStar also landed production as well as vocal
opportunity on Camp-Lo's sophomore album “Let's Do It Again”. NatStar too
produced, wrote and recorded two songs with BlackStreet member Mark
Middleton, “Can We” and “Fun 2night”. In 2001 NatStar formed a group
called Youngonez consisting of members: NatStar the rising rap king
himself, Anthony Adams a.k.a Young Apostle, Roberto Williamson a.k.a
Aspect, and Tremayne Lowery a.k.a Nasty Nice, who is also featured on
“God’s Gift”. The group recorded a self-entitled album “YoungOnez”. In
1995 as a performer NatStar opened up shows for Atlantic Recording artist
Brandy for the summer Carolinas tour while his single “Havin a G Time”
received regular rotation spins on three North Carolina/South Carolina
radio stations. The summer 1994 was the start of rap for NatStar as duo
with Nasty Nice, together forming the K-9 Squad. At age 11, NatStar began
writing and producing. From 1990-1993 he performed and traveled with Uncle
Tim Turner's band doing cover songs for artists such as Das-Efx and
Kris-Kross. “I give thanks to my father. He’s my roc. I thank him for
everything. The gifts I’ve received from my mom-priceless. So when I look
back over my accomplishments and my performances, I can feel my parents
all through me. Outside of my ‘love’ for music…they are who keep me
going-“God’s Gift”.

Currently NatStar is signed to Jatis Records and has released the single "Cuff Your Chick". The album will be out later this year.
