Natty Fox is a high energy rock band that is guaranteed to appeal to a wide variety of musical tastes. They have a crunchy classic rock sound, mixed with more modern melodies. It's as if Led Zeppelin and Kings of Leon had a bar-b-que and Buckcherry showed up with the drinks. The songs are catchy and loud, while having an uplifting and positive message. Natty Fox is a melting pot of musical talent and influences. The band includes Jones Nelson (lead singer), Rod Bre (lead guitar), Danny Thompson (rhythm guitar, manager), Kyle Lords (bass guitar), and Erik Anderson (drums). Rod, Jones, and Danny had been jamming for some time, all the while looking for the right drummer and bass player to complete their musical vision. Kyle was working on a separate project, but was having a hard time completing his band also, so he joined forces with Jones, Danny, and Rod. Later, Rod met Erik at the music school, where they both taught. He soon after joined the band and Natty Fox was off and running. The musicians have been influenced by bands such as Alter Bridge, Slash, Shinedown, Tool, AC/DC, U2, Green Day and many more. Right Direction

Written By: Natty Fox

Smile young thing, you’re too young to cry
You should never bet your heart on your current situation
There are better days, you can’t see now
You’re invested in a lie that this day will last forever
Shot-gun to your head, pull the trigger you’ll be dead
only you can answer if the bullets really worth it.
Cross Roads, left or right, any way you turn is right
this life is full of choices, and it’s all in what you make it

Take a step outside yourself and see
There is so much more to this life than this
Every day you think you’ve seen it all
Check to see that it’s not just your reflection
When you live inside yourself you’re blind
Open up your eyes, let the scales fall off
Finally ask not what’s in store for you
If all we gave was hope we’re in the right direction

Why do you think you’re all alone now
we have tried to recognize that you want to fix yourself
You are satisfied to live without
You have dug yourself a hole, but forgotten how to leave it
I reach down take my hand, leave behind your never-land
Only you can make the choice to lift your hand and take it
Dark walls closing in, all around you caving in
This hole becomes a grave if you won’t take the steps to change it

Take a step outside yourself and see
There is so much more to this life than this
Every day you think you’ve seen it all
Check to see that it’s not just your reflection
When you live inside yourself you’re blind
Open up your eyes, let the scales fall off
Finally ask not what’s in store for you
If all we gave was hope we’re in the right direction

Not right now....don’t think you’re ready
only time will tell
you’re too strong, but you can’t see it
It’s time you realize, realize

Take a step outside yourself and see
There is so much more to this life than this
Every day you think you’ve seen it all
Check to see that it’s not just your reflection
When you live inside yourself you’re blind
Open up your eyes, let the scales fall off
Finally ask not what’s in store for you
If all we gave is hope we’re in the right direction
In the right direction
In the right direction

Vanquish

Written By: Natty Fox

Take down your en-e-my -- He’s closer than you think
Battles are fought when you find (there’s no common ground)
Real-ize your ig-nor-ance -- it’s bigger than you think
Know thyself, know who you fight (the war has just begun)

Vanquish your fears
The time has come to learn to live again
Vanquish your doubts
Satisfy your questions or be slave to unknowing
Vanquish your years
Live as though you know tomorrow’s never coming
Vanquish your-self
Before you can be, you must incinerate your bias

Si-lence insinuates -- that you have all the answers
Don’t be afraid to engage (a different point of view)
Pin-ing procrastinates - the verb that defines you
Make peace with that which destroys (forgiveness starts with you)

Vanquish your fears
The time has come to learn to live again
Vanquish your doubts
Satisfy your questions or be slave to unknowing
Vanquish your years
Live as though you know tomorrow’s never coming
Vanquish your-self
Before you can be, you must incinerate your bias

Learn from the ambivalent, regrets make up their past
Every moment, every word tells the story of your worth
So fight yourself if you’ve had enough, when you’ve had enough of this life
Ask yourself if you’ve made enough, if you’ve made enough of this life

Vanquish your fears
The time has come to learn to live again
Vanquish your doubts
Satisfy your questions or be slave to unknowing
Vanquish your years
Live as though you know tomorrow’s never coming
Vanquish your-self
Before you can be, you must incinerate your bias

Let It Go

Written By: Natty Fox

Put this away
Lay down your arms
Give faith a chance
You’ll be amazed

I’m tired of seeing you in this way
So bring back the girl of yesterday
You are a fire, that’s out of control
Don’t matter what’s wrong just let it go

Don’t be afraid to let it go
Let it go - the monster in your head
Don’t be afraid to let it go
Let it go - if it stays we’ll all be dead
Don’t be afraid to let it go
Free yourself from all the misery
Don’t be afraid to let it go
Say good bye to the angry consequence of your life

Come back to me
Lay in my arms
Give this a chance
You’ll be amazed

I’m tired of seeing you in this way
So bring back the girl from yesterday
You are a fire, that’s out of control
Don’t matter what’s wrong just let it go

Don’t be afraid to let it go
Let it go - the monster in your head
Don’t be afraid to let it go
Let it go - if it stays we’ll all be dead
Don’t be afraid to let it go
Free yourself from all the misery
Don’t be afraid to let it go
Say good bye to the angry consequence of your life

Baby girl - help me
Help me, help you
I don’t know - I can’t know
Unless you tell me

Don’t be afraid to let it go
Let it go - the monster in your head
Don’t be afraid to let it go
Let it go - if it stays we’ll all be dead

Don’t be afraid to let it go
Free yourself from all the misery
Don’t be afraid to let it go
Say good bye to the angry consequence of your life

Take Me

Written By: Natty Fox

Lightening strike, by definition should be as dead as a nail in a door
Don’t know why, I keep on hanging on my body should be hitting the floor
Someone must be looking out, my heart has started giving out,
But I remain to my surprise though everything they say.
I still don’t understand it, they should take my soul and damn it
But they’ve given me another chance to live another day.

Take me now
Before the rain comes down and washes me away
Don’t know why
That I still remain to live another day
Save me now
Before the tide comes in and washes me away
Lost inside
Oh I’m lost inside myself again

Hammer down, metal to metal, as I bend my broken body to new
Sparks will fly, throughout creation of a stronger more proficient view
I just can’t get beside it, I have failed to recognize it,
So I’ve locked myself inside this box of pieces that I’ve made
So here I am to prove it, we’ve got one chance or we loose it
But I’m terrified I’ll miss the mark and die here anyway

Take me now
Before the rain comes down and washes me away
Don’t know why
That I still remain to live another day
Save me now
Before the tide comes in and washes me away
Lost inside
Oh I’m lost inside myself again

A beautiful coincidence, of things better left unsaid
Daft dissuasion compromises me, to take control of my disconnected head
Disillusioned by a million whispers, that tell me that I’m dead
Coalescence of a catalog of mayhem, their words like fire spread

Take me now
Before the rain comes down and washes me away
Don’t know why
That I still remain to live another day
Save me now
Before the tide comes in and washes me away
Lost inside
Oh I’m lost inside myself again

The Basic Level

Written By: Natty Fox

I’m terrified that I’ll end up for dinner
There isn’t much refuge for a self-proclaimed sinner
You were licking your lips from the day I was born
Just to take a bite of a melancholy scorn

So break
Come on and break me down

So break me down into the basic level
Where your magnifying glass can’t see - it’s out of focus
So break me down into little pieces
Better put me back together - put me back together

This evolution got you clawing at your concepts
Want to rip apart the genome of my mind
Watered down beliefs of science and creator
Leaves everyone without a theory or a prayer

So break
Come on and break me down

So break me down into the basic level
Where your magnifying glass can’t see - it’s out of focus
So break me down into little pieces
Better put me back together - put me back together

There comes a point where a man can only go so far
This inconsistency of what we’ve come to know...
Why don’t you break me...

So break me down into the basic level
Where your magnifying glass can’t see - it’s out of focus
So break me down into little pieces
Better put me back together - put me back together
Put me back together
Put me back together
Put me back together
Put me back together again

Drama Queen

Written By: Natty Fox

Looking back, oh I’m sure that it was worth it
Endless nights getting lost inside her eyes
Long hair, round hips,
She drove me crazy with that tongue across her lips

Long live that drama queen - I’m sure she’s doing well
I must have a pain deficiency because she dragged my heart through hell
Long live that drama queen - I think of her every day
Her highness may be beautiful, but her shit drove me insane

I was just a jester caught up in her game;
I was looking out for love, but just came to entertain
Dance monkey, Dance monkey, put me on a show
For tomorrow you will be a corpse and in the ground you go
Off with my head - oh the roses are red
At the foot of my grave - she ensures that I’m dead
Down the rabbit hole, I thought I was safe;
I was brought in as a prince, but went out as a slave

Long live that drama queen - I’m sure she’s doing well
I must have a pain deficiency because she dragged my heart through hell
Long live that drama queen - I think of her every day
Her highness may be beautiful, but her shit drove me insane

Save me from myself
Can’t escape her pulling me down
Beauty’s poison
Drink the night away
Starlight shining through
Gleaming in my cedar box
One last deep breath
She chokes my life away

Long live that drama queen - I’m sure she’s doing well
I must have a pain deficiency because she dragged my heart through hell
Long live that drama queen - I think of her every day
Her highness may be beautiful, but her shit drove me insane

Adam's Road

Written By: Natty Fox

It’s been a year; it’s been fifty-two weeks,
It’s been three hundred-sixty-five days
I’ve spent mornings and nights, just trying to make sense
Of how you could just through this away

Oh and I am ashamed that you called me your friend
Because I don’t know how much you hurt
When the blood poured from you, it should have first poured from me
I should have been there to lay it down for you

It’s been too long, peace is far over due
But I still have been crying for days
It’s the constant unknowing that hurts me the most
What could I’ve done if only I knew

Oh and you can’t imagine, all the pain that you’ve caused
My anger’s volition is real
In a face-to-face meeting, I would lay it on the line
You must know how your choice made me feel

It’s lonely and cold, driving down Adam’s Road
There is nothing, no soul to be found
I’ve been driving all night, there’s no sign of dawn
Searching for the answer to why
Oh it’s lonely and cold, driving down Adam’s Road
You get lost and don’t want to be found
Oh please call out to me, help me know where you are
I’m losing my strength to this fight

You upset all the apple carts
Carte-blanche of what you wanted
No regard for anyone, just yourself and no one else
This aside, I forgive you now
You’re a piece of what I’m made of
No doubt how it is I feel
In my head you’re real

It’s lonely and cold, driving down Adam’s Road
There is nothing, no soul to be found
I’ve been driving all night, there’s no sign of dawn
Searching for the answer to why
Oh it’s lonely and cold driving down Adam’s Road
You get lost and don’t want to be found
Oh please call out to me, help me know where you are
I’m losing my strength to this fight

It’s lonely and cold, driving down Adam’s Road
There is nothing, no soul to be found
I’ve been driving all night, there’s no sign of dawn
Searching for the answer to why
