Making their mark on the music scene in Bristol and beyond, Natural Tendency were formed by five friends in 2007. Since they have seen their popularity rising amongst the alternative crowd. Following their debut EP release ‘Echoes’ this year, their new single ‘Faith’ (out now and free to download from soundcloud) is a taste of what they have been working on recently, offering a more established sound. The track starts and finishes with an ambient lull that washes in and out with soft drum beat alongside electro and gentle piano sounds before the tempo change and the punching of punk rocking guitar riffs reminiscent of My Chemical Romance or Blink 182 kicks in.
Lead vocalist Ed Taylor brings upbeat and melancholy simultaneously and there is a distinct familiarity about the track with a myriad of styles heavily influenced by rock legends like Muse and Avenged Sevenfold, but it doesn’t completely lack originality. Bittersweet lyrics layered by all the band members demonstrate their musical flexibility as well as their synchronicity as a collective group. Upon listening to this a few times you too will be chanting the words and jumping up and down in your living room to the built up timings of this anthem and you’ll absolutely want to party with these guys.
With successful past performances, taking the stage at Bristol Harbour festival and with numerous local gigs under their belt, this band continue to hone their sound having been commended for their powerful stage presence; they may be the next big British rock band.

Hailing from Bristol, this young five-piece have already established themselves as major players within the city's vibrant music scene. With a wide range of influences extending from the band's various musical backgrounds, Natural Tendency create a unique range of soundscapes, bringing together elements ranging from the symphonic rock of Muse to the synth-filled sounds of Pendulum and Morning Parade to create a fresh electronic rock vibe. Recent projects have included the recording of new single 'Faith' with production and engineering from Adam “Nolly” Getgood (Red Seas Fire, Periphery). The band's passionate and heartful lyrical themes are reflected in their energetic and engaging live shows, at which audience members cannot help but sing, dance and clap along.
Over the last year Natural Tendency's progress has been phenomenal, with the release of highly-anticipated debut EP 'Echoes' in early 2011 and subsequent sold- out launch show, and many more gigs throughout the year culminating in a sold-out Christmas party at the Fleece, Bristol. The band have also secured endorsement from Arkaik Clothing, an independent American clothing retailer with a roster of bands that includes Simple Plan, As I Lay Dying and Attack Attack!. The band have established a dedicated fanbase in the Bristol area and are now looking to bring their music to a wider audience, with festival appearances throughout the UK and Europe in 2012.
