NatureDances, is an alchemical blend of movement from West African, Tahitian and East Indian dance. This improvised ritual form captivates us as we awaken to our connection to the natural world and our natural selves. It is an ideal act for opening the stage for conscious music.
As a group of yogini dancers, they are dedicated to sharing movement as a vehicle for healing and transformation. As the ancient temple dancers imparted wisdom through their dance, NatureDances inspires and empowers us to take compassionate steps to bring our world into more balance. Live firedancing awakens our life energy.
Dance workshops also offer the festival community an opportunity experience the natural forces within and to celebrate our connection with one another. These dance rituals give a way for festival participants to wholy contribute to raising the energy of the community.
Kimberly, as a dance therapist of Naropa University, has been travelling to study traditional dance for many years and has worked with renowned members of Les Ballets Africains. She shines in leading dance workshops and encouraging others to express their own individual light!
